Bridge collapses on April 30th.

(CTO) - At approximately 9:30 AM on February 28th, a truck carrying rice was traveling across the April 30th Bridge, connecting Provincial Road 921 and Nguyen Trong Quyen Street, causing the middle lane intended for four-wheeled vehicles to collapse (photo).

The April 30th Bridge spans the Thot Not River, connecting Thuan Hung and Trung Nhut wards in Can Tho City. This is the busiest waterway for rice transportation in the Mekong Delta. The accident caused a temporary disruption to both waterway and road traffic.
