On the Quail Hollow course in Charlotte, Scottie Scheffler is demonstrating the consistent form of a true champion, the heir to the great Tiger Woods .
On Saturday, dubbed "Moving Day"—a pivotal day that would decide the PGA Championship winner—Scheffler impressed with a 65 (-6).

This is the lowest score achieved by a golfer in the third round among those who made the cut after 36 holes.
The American golfer started Saturday (local time) with a bogey on the first hole. Up to the 13th hole, Scheffler had four birdies and three bogeys.
The turning point came at hole 14 (par 4): the golfer who had led the world rankings for 104 consecutive weeks scored an eagle. This was followed by a birdie on hole 15.
In the "Green Mile" area, with a challenging final three holes, Scheffler's composure shone through. He made no mistakes, even recording two consecutive birdies on holes 17 and 18.
The rain caused the penultimate round at Quail Hollow to be postponed. Strong winds made things even more difficult for the golfers. There, skill, experience, and mental strength were key.
After three consecutive days of playing under par, Scheffler rose to the top of the leaderboard with a total score of -11 strokes.
Scheffler is aiming for his second title of the season, and his third major overall. His two previous Grand Slam victories were both at The Masters.

Like Scheffler, Jon Rahm was another standout golfer on a day when the weather made the stage unpredictable.
Rahm shot a 67, his best performance of the three days of competition in Charlotte. This result gives him a score of -6 and gives him hope for a historic final round.
Rahm's goal is not just to win. He is aiming for his third major title, after the 2021 US Open and the 2023 Masters, and to become the first Spanish golfer to win the PGA Championship .
It's no easy challenge. No Spanish golfer has ever won three different majors, not even the legendary Seve Ballesteros.
Meanwhile, after leading for two rounds, Jhonattan Vegas fell behind with a score of -6. In the third round, the Venezuelan golfer shot two strokes over par.
The PGA Championship race also features Alex Noren (-8), Davis Riley (-7), JT Poston (-7), Kim Si Woo (-6), and Bryson DeChambeau (-5).
For his part, Rory McIlroy had no chance of winning after shooting one over par, with a total score of +2. He doesn't have any images of the legend who just won The Masters 2025.
The battle at Quail Hollow will heat up as the leading golfers emerge. Tony Finau and Bryson DeChambeau tee off at 1:00 AM on May 19th ( Hanoi time); Rahm will compete against Kim Si Woo at 1:20 AM; and the final pair, Scheffler and Alex Noren, will begin at 1:40 AM.
