According to the report of the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Examination, from the beginning of April, the direction, assignment of tasks, and organization of preparatory activities for the exam have been implemented on schedule throughout the province. The Provincial Steering Committee has also guided all 11 districts and cities to establish district-level steering committees and develop specific exam organization plans for each district and city. In addition, the Department of Education and Training (GD&ĐT) has been tasked with proactively coordinating with relevant departments and agencies to finalize plans for protecting exam papers, ensuring electricity, medical services, transportation, and providing accommodation for candidates from distant areas.
Mr. Hoang Quoc Tuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Examination Steering Committee, emphasized: This examination has many innovations as it is the first time it has been organized based on the 2018 General Education Program. Therefore, all participating forces have been thoroughly trained to ensure that the regulations are followed correctly and no errors occur. To ensure the examination proceeds as planned, the Provincial Examination Steering Committee has inspected all examination sites, carefully reviewed facilities, and prepared contingency plans for potential situations such as power outages, floods, and epidemics; ensuring that all stages of printing and copying exam papers, transportation, storage, and even the waiting rooms and reserve rooms are prepared according to regulations.
This year's exam saw 9,990 candidates registered throughout the province, including over 9,400 12th-grade students and more than 550 independent candidates. To prepare for this exam, the Department of Education and Training established 28 teams to review registration documents, ensuring the rights of all candidates; arranged 22 examination centers in 11 districts and cities, with a total of 440 official examination rooms. Simultaneously, an examination council and specialized committees were established, along with a supervisory force of over 1,000 officials, teachers, and staff.
In Lang Son City, one of the areas with a large number of candidates in the province, there are 2,448 registered candidates, including 370 independent candidates taking the exam under the 2006 General Education Program. Ms. Hoang Minh Thao, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee and Head of the City Examination Steering Committee, said: This year, in addition to the three examination centers located at Chu Van An High School, Viet Bac High School, and Hoang Van Thu High School, the city has also arranged an additional examination center at Chi Lang Secondary School for independent candidates taking the exam under the 2006 General Education Program to take the exam separately. After review, the conditions for storing exam papers and answer sheets, filing cabinets, and security cameras at all examination centers have been ensured. Coordination with the police force, especially traffic control in the examination area, has also been carefully implemented to ensure maximum convenience for the candidates.
Along with the city, exam centers in the districts have also completed preparations. For example, the exam center at Chi Lang High School (Chi Lang district) has nearly 700 candidates, including students from the school and from the Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center, the District Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School, and Hoa Binh High School. Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, the school principal, said: "The school has checked all the candidates' registration documents six times to ensure the accuracy of the information. For the exam rooms, the school has arranged seating according to regulations, with no more than 24 candidates per room, ensuring a 1.2m distance between candidates. In addition, the electrical system, fans, fire extinguishers, wall clocks, stationery, etc., have all been prepared and thoroughly checked."
Besides organizing the exam, many schools also pay attention to supporting candidates and preparing them mentally. At the Provincial Ethnic Boarding High School, the school's meticulous preparation for supporting candidates helped students feel confident entering the exam. Tô Thu Trang, a 12th-grade student, shared: "This year I'm taking the exam at Viet Bac High School. Because I'm a boarding student at the school, my classmates and I received very thorough guidance from our teachers, who reminded us about proper study schedules, meals, and rest. In particular, the school's Youth Union organized a support program for the exam season, providing cakes, milk, drinks, school supplies, and even cooking porridge at night to nourish us before the exam. The school also arranged free transportation to and from the exam, so I felt very secure and fully prepared."
On June 26th and 27th, along with candidates nationwide, students in Lang Son province will officially begin the most important exam of their student lives. To date, all necessary conditions regarding human resources, facilities, contingency plans, inter-sectoral coordination, student support, and exam communication have been fully implemented. Therefore, despite the changes to the exam, with the active preparation of all levels, sectors, schools, and the entire society, the provincial education sector is fully ready for this major exam, the 2025 high school graduation exam.
