With the model of "Breeding cows", the 234th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Brigade (34th Corps) coordinated with the Party Committee and People's Committee of K'Dang commune ( Gia Lai province) to hand over 200 breeding cows and materials, with a total value of more than 7.4 billion VND to 200 poor, near-poor, and ethnic minority households.

Through this model, the 234th Air Defense Artillery Brigade aims to increase household income by 20-25% per year and 15% of households participating in the poverty reduction model.

Leaders of Army Corps 15 and Economic - Defense Group 72 talk with people who received breeding cows.

Mr. A Chưnh, in Rông village, K'Dang commune, has been a poor household for many years. He and his wife have no land for production and have never raised cows. Every day, they do whatever they are hired to do, making life difficult, sometimes hungry, sometimes full. Now that the local government and the 234th Air Defense Artillery Brigade have included him in the list of participants in the "Cow Breeding" model, he is very happy.

“My husband and I were taught how to raise breeding cows by soldiers and commune officials, supported in building barns, and provided with breeding cows, grass seeds, and initial feed. My husband and I are determined to raise breeding cows well, to have many calves, and to have money to cover our living expenses,” said Mr. A Chưng.

Leaders of Economic - Defense Group 710 and representatives of the 15th Army Corps presented breeding cows to the people.

Leaders of Economic - Defense Group 717 and local authorities presented breeding cows to the people.

Ms. Ro Mah Lien, in La village, Ia Boong commune (Gia Lai province) was moved when she received breeding cows from Economic - Defense Group 717 (Army Corps 15). She told everyone: "Wherever people are in difficulty, there are soldiers from Army Corps 15. You guys not only protect people, but also give them a livelihood so they can have a prosperous life."

People in the area where Economic - Defense Group 74 is stationed are excited to receive breeding cows given by the unit.

According to local leaders and people, the livelihood models of the above units have been implemented methodically, scientifically and with high economic efficiency. From 2022 to now, Economic - Defense Group 710 has given 108 breeding cows to people in 3 communes: Ia Mo, Ia Pia, Ia Lau (Gia Lai province); Economic - Defense Group 74 gave 125 breeding cows to people in the area where the unit is located. Similarly, Economic - Defense Group 72 gave 142 breeding cows to people. The cows of the units have all grown well, creating sustainable livelihoods, helping many ethnic minority households escape poverty.

To implement the model of "Cow breeding", the units have coordinated with local authorities to closely implement all stages from screening and selecting participating households, to organizing training and guiding people to master cattle breeding techniques; at the same time, supporting people in building barns, disease prevention methods, and exploiting food sources for cows.

People of K'Dang commune were excited when receiving breeding cows from the 234th Air Defense Artillery Brigade.

The units also focus on selecting cattle breeds suitable for the local climate, food sources and farming practices. The organization signs contracts with units and businesses that supply breeding cattle openly and transparently, avoiding all loss and waste. During the model implementation process, assign staff to regularly monitor, guide and support the people.

Comrade Le Thi Hue, Secretary of the Party Committee of K'Dang commune, believes that with a methodical and strict approach, the "Cow Breeding" model of the 234th Air Defense Artillery Brigade will contribute to helping K'Dang commune realize the goal of poverty reduction, gradually complete the criteria for new rural construction, and continuously improve people's lives.
