SLNA finalizes new sponsor after parting ways with previous partner, hoping to prevent player exodus before the 2026/2027 season.
The announcement ceremony was held on the afternoon of July 3rd at the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Office, with the participation of leaders from the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, representatives from various departments and agencies, and SLNA Sports Joint Stock Company. This is considered an important milestone in the Nghe An team's preparation for the new season.
The completion of the new sponsorship deal comes just days after SLNA parted ways with their partner of nearly five years. During the transition period, the team faced considerable difficulties as several key players left, most recently midfielder Tran Manh Quynh. This had previously caused fans to worry about the risk of a "brain drain" and its impact on the team's competitiveness in the V.League.

According to the leaders of Nghe An province, having additional financial resources will not only help the club ensure its operations in the new season but also create a foundation for building a sustainable development strategy. SLNA's goal is to continue to uphold its tradition of youth training and maintain its position as one of the leading talent breeding grounds in Vietnamese football.
In recent years, despite facing numerous financial difficulties, SLNA has made its mark in youth development. From 2021 to the present, the team has won the runner-up title in the 2024/25 National Cup and 24 medals at national and international youth tournaments. Many players who have graduated from the SLNA academy have been consistently called up to the Vietnamese national youth teams, making positive contributions to the overall achievements of Vietnamese football.
Looking ahead to the 2026/2027 season, SLNA will continue to compete in two competitions: the V.League and the National Cup. Coach Van Sy Son continues to enjoy the trust of the club's management in the position of head coach. The team has also assembled early to assess the squad, recruit new players, and implement a professional plan before the season is scheduled to begin in September.
With the financial issues resolved early, SLNA is expected to focus all its efforts on professional matters, gradually building a squad capable of competing in the V.League. More importantly, the stability of its resources will help the team from Nghe An province minimize the risk of losing more key players, laying the foundation for long-term development in the coming seasons.
