Not only a shopping place, this is also a space to honor and promote traditional handicraft products of the Tay people in Nghia Do such as trays, fish baskets, market baskets, brocade bags, scarves and hand-woven costumes - products bearing the cultural imprint and skillful hands of the people here.
Restarting Nghia Do night market every Saturday night not only contributes to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities, but also creates a bridge for tourists to better understand the local people and products.
This activity aims to concretize the Resolution of the 1st Party Congress of Nghia Do commune, term 2025 - 2030, in the goal of developing community tourism , building Nghia Do into a commune that develops rapidly and sustainably in the direction of "green, harmony, identity, happiness".
Previously, due to the impact of storm No. 3 (storm Yagi ) in 2024, Nghia Do commune suffered heavy damage to people and infrastructure, and night market activities had to be temporarily suspended from September 2024. Now, when life has gradually stabilized, Nghia Do night market is back full of vitality, bringing joy and expectations for a new prosperous tourist season.

* On the same day, in Nghia Do commune, a cooperation agreement signing ceremony took place between Nghia Do commune ( Lao Cai ) and Bang Lang commune (Tuyen Quang), for the period 2025 - 2030.

Attending the signing ceremony were comrades: Tang Trung In - Secretary of the Party Committee of Bang Lang Commune (Tuyen Quang); Nguyen Van Phuong - Secretary of the Party Committee of Nghia Do Commune (Lao Cai); and comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, heads of departments and offices of the two communes.

At the ceremony, the two localities agreed to sign a cooperation agreement in the spirit of voluntariness, equality, mutual respect, compliance with legal regulations and authority of local authorities, ensuring shared responsibilities, harmonious benefits and close, regular coordination.
The cooperation focuses on the following areas: politics, economics; culture, society, health, education, security and defense. The two sides agreed to increase the exchange of experiences in Party building and political system building at least once a year; cooperate in investment promotion, support enterprises in production and business; implement agricultural and forestry components in national target programs; exchange and learn from cinnamon raw material development models and processing and consumption of cinnamon products.

The two localities also cooperate to connect and build tours and routes for spiritual tourism and community tourism; organize festivals and cultural events; share experiences in managing and using revenue from spiritual relics; cooperate in promoting culture and tourism through experiential activities at historical relic sites, contributing to educating revolutionary traditions for the younger generation; experience in improving the quality of grassroots health care activities; coordinate in handling and resolving incidents related to security and order, land disputes, mass complaints, disease prevention, traffic safety... according to the motto of proactive prevention, timely detection and resolution right at the grassroots level.

After the signing ceremony, the two localities organized cultural and sports exchanges, strengthening solidarity and friendship and opening a new phase of effective and sustainable cooperation.
