With just over 20 days left until the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025, the market for Tet gift baskets in Da Nang City is currently very vibrant, offering a wide variety of types, designs, and prices. Observations at many supermarkets and gift basket manufacturers in the city show that the most popular are gift baskets priced between 500,000 and 700,000 VND per basket.

The market for Tet gift baskets in Da Nang City is entering its peak season in preparation for the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) in 2025.

At Coopmart supermarket in Da Nang, Tet gift baskets have been on the shelves since December 2024. Mr. Phan Thong, the supermarket director, said that the gift baskets are priced from 200,000 VND to 1,000,000 VND per basket. Each basket typically contains items such as wine, confectionery, tea, coffee, raisins, nuts, etc., and is designed according to customer needs. In addition, the supermarket also provides shopping vouchers with various values ​​from 50,000 to 500,000 VND for businesses and partners to give as gifts to their employees.

“This year, Tet gift baskets in the mid-range price segment, from 500,000 to 700,000 VND per basket, are very popular and the most frequently chosen. Many organizations and businesses are ordering Tet gift baskets to give to their employees and partners. Currently, the demand for gift baskets has increased slightly by about 5% compared to the same period last year and is predicted to increase by about 10% during the peak period in the coming days,” said a representative of Coopmart supermarket in Da Nang, adding that currently, all Tet gift basket models at the supermarket are on promotion and have discounts for customers buying in large quantities.

At the Do 37 Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative, the peak season for Tet gift baskets is currently underway. Ms. Nguyen Thi Oanh, the cooperative's director, said that the demand for Tet gift baskets this year is expected to increase by about 10% compared to last year.

The gift baskets from the Do 37 Cooperative are designed with prices ranging from 350,000 to 2,000,000 VND per basket, corresponding to various themes such as Wealth, Family Reunion, Fortune, Peace and Prosperity, etc. Each Tet gift basket contains 4-6 items from different households at various price points. The products in the gift baskets are mainly products of the Cooperative such as nutritious biscuits, dried mangoes, various nuts, etc. In addition, depending on customer requirements, some other products such as red dates, melon seeds, etc., can be added.

“This year, the market is very fond of gift baskets priced around 500,000 VND per basket. We plan to design 2,000 Tet gift basket sets, and currently more than 50% of the baskets have already been ordered, mostly in the 500,000 VND/basket price range ,” Ms. Oanh informed.

At Vinseed Biotechnology Co., Ltd., according to Mr. Nguyen Thien Khiem – Deputy Director of the company, current demand for Tet gift baskets is not as high as expected, but it is quite stable, with prices ranging from 400,000 to 3,000,000 VND per basket. The most popular gift baskets among customers are priced between 500,000 and 1,000,000 VND per basket.

Vietnamese goods and OCOP products dominate completely.

Notably, most of the products in Tet gift baskets in Da Nang City are high-quality Vietnamese goods, OCOP products, and products characteristic of Da Nang City.

“Except for a few gift baskets that partners requested to include imported wines, most of the products in the supermarket's gift baskets are Vietnamese goods and are preferred choices for consumption during Tet,” said Mr. Phan Thong, Director of Coopmart Da Nang Supermarket.

The Tet holiday goods market in Da Nang City is starting to liven up.

At Do 37 Cooperative, the unit's products include agricultural products, startup products, and OCOP products. "The trend is that consumers and customers are increasingly prioritizing Vietnamese goods because, in addition to guaranteed quality and reasonable prices, the designs of Vietnamese products are becoming more refined, attractive, and appealing to consumers," commented Ms. Nguyen Thi Oanh.

Furthermore, following the green trend, the Tet gift baskets of Do 37 Cooperative are designed using paper boxes or bamboo baskets, which are both aesthetically pleasing and eye-catching, while also being environmentally friendly and creating a traditional, familiar feeling.
