The dehumidifier market is booming.
After the Lunar New Year of 2026, the weather turned to drizzle and humidity, marking the beginning of the humid season in Northern Vietnam. This humid weather makes daily life and work difficult, leading to a surge in demand for dehumidifiers. Observations at supermarkets and electronics stores in Hanoi show a wide variety of dehumidifier models and prices, catering to diverse customer segments.
Market surveys show that dehumidifiers from many well-known brands range in price from 3 to 19 million VND, depending on the model and functionality. Specifically, small-capacity models that can remove 6-12 liters of water from the air per day are priced from 1 to 3.5 million VND. Models with a capacity of 12-20 liters per day are offered by many supermarkets at prices ranging from 4 to 6.5 million VND. For spaces of 30-60m2, models with a capacity of 20-35 liters per day are suitable, priced from 7 to 10 million VND.
Sellers also advise customers to place the dehumidifier in the most humid area of the room, avoiding heat sources or direct sunlight, and maintaining a 20-30 cm gap around the machine for better air circulation. Dehumidifiers produce a considerable amount of water; depending on the outdoor humidity and the tank capacity, the water should be emptied regularly. In addition, the air filter should be cleaned every 1-2 weeks to prevent high humidity, which can lead to dust accumulation, reduced dehumidification efficiency, and increased power consumption. Clean the machine body and ventilation slots to ensure good air circulation, and periodically check the valve, humidity sensor, and air outlet.
