Regarding the recent resurgence of activities by the "Church of God the Mother," along with the vigorous intervention and struggle of the police force, public opinion strongly opposes and demands strict handling of the illegal activities of the "Church of God the Mother."

Mr. Ho Viet Anh, Head of the Religious Affairs Department of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Internal Affairs, stated: In recent years, implementing the Party and State's guidelines and policies on the field of belief and religion, all levels of mass organizations, the government, the Fatherland Front, and political and social organizations in the province have always focused on doing a good job in religious affairs in general and state management of religion in particular; resolving and meeting the legitimate needs of organizations and individuals in religious activities and practices, and the religious situation in the province is basically stable.
"First, I want to state that the 'Church of God the Mother' has not been authorized to conduct religious activities by the competent authorities. The majority of activities of the groups claiming to be the 'Church of God the Mother' in recent times have been in violation of the law; these groups have not been approved by the competent authorities for registration as a centralized religious organization," Mr. Ho Viet Anh affirmed.
According to the Law on Beliefs and Religions, religious ceremonies, sermons, and preaching by religious dignitaries, officials, and clergy can be conducted at religious establishments or other legally recognized locations. If preaching takes place outside the designated area, religious establishment, or registered legally recognized location, it must be approved by the competent state authority where the event is planned. The actions of individuals propagating the "Church of God the Mother" at gathering places without the approval of competent state authorities, and some groups with ulterior motives, using deceptive arguments and methods to mislead and entice people to join in some localities, causing confusion and resentment among the people, violate the provisions of the Law on Beliefs and Religions.
With numerous illegal activities that negatively impact followers, their families, and society, the activities of these groups, in whatever form, must be condemned and resolutely dealt with according to the law.

Pastor Duong Van Tuan, the pastor of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (Northern Region) in Thanh Hoa, frankly expressed his views on the "Church of God the Mother": "We see the doctrines of the 'Church of God the Mother' as a heresy that we have long recognized. It has a very harmful effect on social security, as well as on other churches of God in Vietnam. They bear the name 'Church of God,' but they do things contrary to the Bible, contrary to the word of God. For Evangelical churches, the leaders and preachers are the ones responsible before the law, with the duty to protect their followers from events. However, because it is an illegal activity, the preachers and leaders of the groups of the 'Church of God the Mother' never show themselves. If an event occurs, they dare not step forward to take responsibility or protect their followers."
Their wrongdoings are detrimental to society and the community. We are deeply indignant and urge the authorities to take strong measures to awaken them and bring them back to their faith; to restore social order."
Given the complex activities of the "Church of God the Mother," the police force in the province has recently implemented many measures to prevent and stop the illegal proselytizing activities of this organization; at the same time, they have detected, arrested, and severely punished many groups of the "Church of God the Mother," seizing many documents and evidence related to illegal proselytizing and religious activities.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Duy Dung, Head of the Internal Security Department of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, stated: "Currently, we have investigated and thoroughly understood the organizational structure, methods, and tactics of the self-proclaimed 'Church of God the Mother'; we have also identified the ringleaders, key figures, and participants in their activities in order to take appropriate measures to combat and handle the situation."

The police force will continue to gather documents, consolidate evidence, and combat the illegal activities of this organization in accordance with the Law on Beliefs and Religions and Vietnamese law. Depending on the nature and severity of the violations, they will be handled according to the law, including considering criminal prosecution for acts causing serious consequences.
However, to prevent and stop the activities and development of this organization, in the coming time, political and social organizations and functional forces need to do a good job of propaganda so that people are aware, vigilant, and can protect themselves, not listen to, believe, or participate in this organization.
