Economic "nuclei"
Spanning nearly 24 square kilometers and boasting a population of over 24,500, Nhan Ha commune has identified its primary task as maintaining its growth momentum from its previous foundation. The vitality of this new commune is most clearly demonstrated through the economic models developed by the people themselves.
In the Khả Nôi field, the 10-hectare estate of Mr. Nguyen Van Ngan and his son (village 2, Dong Thuy) is a vivid example of the "dare to think, dare to act" mindset. From a low-lying rice paddy with low yields, he transformed it into a comprehensive livestock farming model (fish fry, commercial fish, pigs), earning a profit of 300-500 million VND per year.

Mr. Ngan shared: "Having this infrastructure is thanks to the previous government's support in terms of capital and policies. Now that I've moved to the new commune, I see that the commune leaders are still very attentive. I hope that with a larger scale, the commune will have a well-planned scheme so that people can confidently expand production."
Also driven by the desire to prosper in his homeland, the story of Dang Van Cuong (My Xuyen village) reflects the energy of youth and a large-scale production mindset. Looking at his thriving chicken farm with 25,000 birds and an annual output of 350 tons, few realize that to achieve this "sweet reward" of billions of dong in income, he had to put in tremendous effort from the very first bricks laid in 2020.

Recalling the journey so far, Mr. Cuong shared: “When I first started building the model, it was thanks to the ‘loosening’ of land procedures and timely support from the local authorities in accessing capital that I had the foundation to thrive. Now that the new Nhan Ha commune has been established, I believe that those good practices will be inherited and further developed. We livestock farmers hope to continue to receive even more favorable conditions, especially in veterinary and environmental matters, so that we can confidently expand production.”
Besides the efforts of individual households, the collective economic sector also quickly stabilized its organization to become a support for the people. Immediately after the merger, the Farmers' Association and the Cooperatives proactively "rolled up their sleeves" to work with the people to solve the most practical problems.
As someone who has been cultivating 5 acres of intensively grown corn, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoa couldn't hide his concerns: "Currently, we farmers mainly rely on our labor for profit. Our biggest worry remains the uncertain market and the lack of capital for reinvestment."
Understanding the pressing concerns of the people, during the transition period of the administrative apparatus, Nhan Ha commune prioritized maintaining the stability of support sources to ensure a continuous flow of capital. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Linh, Vice Chairman of the Farmers' Association and Director of Do Dao Cooperative, said: The Association is still effectively managing loan capital from the Social Policy Bank with an outstanding balance of 22 billion VND and 1.5 billion VND from the Farmers' Support Fund. This continuous support is the "foundation" that allows cooperative members like Mr. Hoa to confidently stay on their land and expand production.

Beyond just providing capital, during the recent rainy season and storms, officials from the Association and cooperatives directly went to the fields to assess the damage, provide technical guidance on restoring vegetable production as soon as the water receded, and were determined to "not leave any land fallow".
Long-term vision
Besides agriculture, Nhan Ha commune possesses a diverse economic landscape that forms the foundation for development. The industrial, handicraft, and service sectors are thriving, with 14 enterprises and 331 business establishments (garment manufacturing, wood processing, etc.), creating jobs for over 2,000 workers and contributing over 632 billion VND in production value. OCOP 3-star products such as "Ong Tho Pomelo" and "Ta Cassava" are also establishing their position.
To realize the goal of sustainable development from within, the commune is focusing on planning. Specifically, the locality is reviewing and developing detailed plans such as: plans for high-tech and small-scale industrial zones; plans for commercial and service zones; and plans for residential and urban land. The consistent viewpoint of the commune government is that all constructions and projects must be clearly shown in the planning and land use plan, ensuring transparency and long-term viability.

Furthermore, the locality is focusing on promoting the application of science and technology and digital transformation. This is considered key to improving labor productivity and the competitiveness of local products. The commune government is committed to mobilizing and allocating resources effectively to prioritize investment in key projects, creating momentum for rapid economic development.
A new rural landscape is also being formed through increased investment in socio-economic infrastructure, especially transportation infrastructure. Alongside economic development, efforts are being made to create a "bright, green, clean, and beautiful" environment, with the goal of transforming Nhan Ha commune into an advanced new rural commune with strengths in culture and education.
Comrade Ngo Trung Hieu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nhan Ha commune, affirmed the determination of the commune's Party Committee in the new term: "We have determined that economic development must go hand in hand with environmental protection. The main task in the coming time is to focus our efforts on closely coordinating with relevant localities and units to soon complete and put the high-tech zone into operation. At the same time, we will plan the development of urban areas and industrial clusters in a systematic way. The goal is that by 2030, the average per capita income of the commune will reach 187 million VND."
