Recognizing tourism as one of the breakthroughs for socio-economic development, Tay Ninh has focused on numerous solutions and resources to create new momentum for the tourism industry, aiming to make tourism a key economic sector of the province by 2030.
According to statistics, in 2023, Tay Ninh's tourism sector attracted 5.1 million visitors to its tourist areas and attractions, achieving 102% of the plan, a 13.2% increase compared to the same period last year. Total tourism revenue for the year was estimated at 2,000 billion VND (planned 1,800 billion VND), exceeding the target by 11.1%, a 36.5% increase. The increase in visitors boosted growth in sectors such as accommodation, food and beverage, and other services.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Huy Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tay Ninh province, in 2023 the province implemented many tasks to develop tourism and organized many promotional activities, focusing on the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area, contributing to spreading the tourism appeal to neighboring tourist destinations.

The Tay Ninh Day event in Hanoi in 2023 was successfully organized, contributing to the dissemination of Tay Ninh's potential, investment advantages, trade and service development, and tourism products, creating a strong attraction not only domestically but also for international tourists... This contributed to creating a mark and opportunities for cooperation between businesses, attracting investment.
Meanwhile, historical sites, tourist attractions, and tourist accommodation facilities in the province have been gradually upgraded in terms of infrastructure and services, ensuring security; many national and regional sporting events have been hosted by the province, contributing to creating a playground, promoting the province's sports movement, and attracting a large number of tourists to Tay Ninh.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tay Ninh province also emphasized that one of the key aspects is the signing and vigorous implementation of the tourism development cooperation program with provinces and cities in the Southeast region. This includes state management of tourism; development and linkage of tourism products; promotion and marketing; development of tourism human resources; attracting investment in tourism development; and development of infrastructure and technical facilities serving tourism.
In particular, transportation infrastructure has been and is being invested in with key projects to connect Tay Ninh with major provinces and cities such as: the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway; the Ho Chi Minh Highway section from Chon Thanh to Duc Hoa passing through Tay Ninh province; the road connecting DT.784 (Tay Ninh) to DT.744 (Binh Duong); DT.782 and DT.784 roads; the inter-regional connecting road N8 - DT.787B - DT.789, An Hoa bridge connecting to Long An province… Especially, developing tourism programs based on the model of linked tourism development in the Southeast region…

Ms. Tran Thi Huy Hoang also explained that each locality in the Southeast region has different strengths and potential in terms of tourism products. Therefore, linking tourism development in the Southeast region is a necessary step to effectively exploit the tourism potential and strengths of each locality. This will create a favorable environment to attract investment, eliminate fragmented tourism practices, and create professional, high-quality, and standardized tourism products and services worthy of national and international recognition. This will serve as a "stepping stone" for the development of tourism in each locality, and also create sustainable, high-quality links for more effective tourism development in the Southeast region.
Meanwhile, according to Tay Ninh province's tourism development plan, the target for the 2021-2025 period is to achieve an impressive tourism revenue of 9,000 billion VND; with 18 million visitors. By 2030, tourism in the province is projected to be a key economic sector, contributing over 10% to the province's GRDP and strongly promoting the development of other industries and sectors. The average annual growth rate of tourism revenue is projected to be 25% or more. Average daily spending by tourists in Tay Ninh is expected to exceed 1.3 million VND per person.
