Ms. Nguyen Thi My Linh (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) shared that, on her first visit to Da Nang, she was advised by locals to visit Con Market to buy gifts for her relatives. There, she chose shredded dried squid, squid stewed in tamarind sauce, sesame brittle, and yellowfin fish – typical local specialties.
According to Ms. Linh, what reassured her was the enthusiastic advice from the vendors, the clear origin of the products, and the reasonable prices, making it easy to choose.
According to Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh (a tour guide), many tourists often ask him for recommendations on reputable places in Da Nang to buy souvenirs. Nowadays, buyers are not only interested in the taste of local specialties but also prioritize origin, quality, and reasonable prices.
According to Phan Thanh Thoai, Head of Con Market Management Board, the unit always promotes product quality and labeling management to build customer trust. Currently, more than 90% of goods at the market have clearly displayed prices.
If customers are not satisfied, they can return or exchange the product within 24-36 hours of purchase; if the business owner refuses, the management will handle the matter directly.
All products are labeled with phone numbers and stall addresses so that tourists can easily know their origin or contact them when needed. In addition, prices remain stable even during holidays and festivals.

Every day, Con Market welcomes thousands of visitors who come to sightsee, shop, and enjoy local cuisine such as pork spring rolls, banh xeo (Vietnamese savory pancake), Quang noodles, and more.
Ms. Ha Thanh Thao (a tourist from Nghe An) shared: “Through TikTok, I learned that Con Market is considered a ‘culinary paradise’ so I wanted to visit to experience it. The food here is diverse and suits my taste, and I also felt the friendliness of the local people.”
According to Mr. Le Thanh Dan, owner of the Dung Dinh Camping tourism model (Hai Van ward), they welcome 50 to 200 visitors each month.
Tourists come not only to relax, sightsee, take photos in the rice fields, have bonfires, and participate in cultural exchanges, but also to experience the local cultural values in greater depth.
To meet that need, he organized activities to introduce the culture of the Co Tu ethnic group, took tourists to see traditional weaving, and supported the implementation of community tourism projects involving local people and students.
According to Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association, besides the desire to learn about the culture, tourists increasingly want to experience and choose unique local products. Therefore, coordination between all parties is needed to improve product quality, boost promotion, and attract investment; thereby creating distinctive values, meeting tourist expectations, and contributing to the sustainable development of the destination.
