Under the guiding light of the Party, our people rose up together, shoulder to shoulder, defying bombs, bullets, hardships, and sacrifices to win independence and freedom. The Party not only provided political guidance but also united all social strata, religions, and ethnic groups into a common front. The spirit of "all for the front lines, all for victory" is the result of that brilliant leadership. It is this unity of will under the Party's leadership that has created great victories.
In peacetime, this spirit of solidarity continues to be strongly promoted, becoming a solid foundation for our people to overcome all difficult periods. The Party has institutionalized this spirit by leading the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF). Over 95 years of formation and development, the VFF, under the leadership of the Party, has upheld the tradition of solidarity; gathering all strata of the people into a powerful force in building and defending the Fatherland.
When natural disasters occur, people across the country join hands to donate and support their compatriots in flood- and drought-stricken areas. This is a precious tradition, a bond that connects the community. Through social welfare programs, the Vietnam Fatherland Front effectively cares for the poor, clearly demonstrating the spirit of mutual support and helping the country to continuously progress and develop sustainably in all circumstances.
The Party's leadership role is most vividly and closely demonstrated through the effectiveness of emulation movements in residential areas, exemplified by the "All People Unite to Build New Rural Areas and Civilized Urban Areas" campaign. In Dong Son 2 hamlet, Thoai Son commune, under the guidance of the Party committee and the government, the past year has seen remarkable progress. The total value of activities supporting the poor and those in difficult circumstances exceeded 380 million VND, helping 6 households escape near-poverty. The conversion of crops and effective economic models has created stable jobs for nearly 50 workers.
Attending the National Unity Day celebration in Chau Quoi 3 hamlet, Chau Doc ward, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Thanh Nhan, expressed his joy at the results of the "National Unity for Building New Rural Areas and Civilized Urban Areas" campaign. Accordingly, the Hamlet's Front Committee, in coordination with the government, mobilized the people to participate in patriotic emulation movements, yielding practical results: 474 households achieved the title of "Cultural Family," accounting for 99.2%; and 100% of the people have stable employment. These achievements are proof of the unity, solidarity, and creativity of the people under the close leadership of the Party.
The Party also plays a crucial role in creating mechanisms for the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the people to supervise and provide social feedback. In recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has effectively demonstrated its role in supervising, providing feedback, and contributing to building a cleaner and stronger Party and government. “The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels needs to continue to play its core role well, building unity and gathering the strength of all strata of the people; effectively implementing the campaign “All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas”; through many practical actions, encouraging all citizens to actively contribute their intellect, material resources, and efforts to economic development, legitimately enriching themselves, their families, and society; contributing to the successful implementation of political tasks in the locality,” Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nhan suggested.
In reality, when people trust the leadership of the Party and the impartiality of the government, that forms a solid foundation for the consolidation and development of national unity.
