On September 25, 2025, Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA), an airline invested in and developed by Sun Group, was granted an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam. This is an important legal basis, recognizing that Sun PhuQuoc Airways has met all requirements to officially operate regular commercial flights.

An AOC is an aircraft operator certificate issued by the aviation authority, allowing an airline to operate commercially within its approved area.

To achieve this certification, Sun PhuQuoc Airways completed the development and received approval from the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority for its documentation and operational procedures. Immediately afterwards, the airline implemented and successfully completed all 7 scenarios in the control room drill; performed well in emergency evacuation procedures on aircraft; and safely and successfully operated test flights, including diversion flights and night flights.
