Giving away 150 Tet gifts for the Year of the Horse 2026.

(CT) - The Women's Union of Thanh Phu commune recently coordinated the distribution of 150 Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts for the Year of the Horse 2026 to disadvantaged female members and their children in the area (photo). Of these, 100 gifts were given to members, each worth 300,000 VND; and 50 gifts were given to the children of members, each worth 150,000 VND. The total cost of the program was over 37 million VND, funded through social mobilization.

In 2025, the Women's Union of Thanh Phu commune strived to care for and support its members and women in developing their economy and ensuring social security. Specifically, the Union maintained and expanded six effective collective economic models, with nearly 300 members participating. Simultaneously, the Women's Union strengthened coordination with relevant agencies to support members and women in accessing loan capital. The entire commune has 17 loan groups from the Social Policy Bank, with over 790 households borrowing a total of over 35 billion VND; maintaining capital pooling groups to support women with interest-free loans for livestock farming, small-scale trading, and garden improvement. The Union coordinated training, counseling, and job placement for 156 women; supported 12 women in starting businesses; and coordinated the construction of one house for a female member facing housing difficulties...
