Giving gifts for Tet (Lunar New Year) 2026 (Year of the Horse)

(CT) - On January 28th, the Can Tho City Red Cross Society, in coordination with the Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Group, organized a "Compassionate Tet" gift-giving program for the Year of the Horse 2026, providing gifts to poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged families in Vi Thuy commune, Vi Thanh 1 commune, and Vinh Thuan Dong commune.

In three localities, the City Red Cross Society coordinated the distribution of 350 gift packages (150 packages in Vi Thuy commune, 1 in Vi Thanh commune, and 100 packages each in Vinh Thuan Dong commune). Each gift package, worth 600,000 VND, included cakes, candies, and cash, contributing to helping families have better conditions to celebrate the Lunar New Year. This is a practical activity in response to the "Compassionate Tet" movement launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society .

During the Lunar New Year of 2026, the Can Tho City Red Cross Society mobilized the Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Group to support and coordinate the distribution of 2,500 gift packages to poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged families in the city, with a total value of 1.5 billion VND.

* On the same day, the People's Committee of Ninh Kieu Ward, in coordination with the Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Group, organized the program "Giving Tet gifts for the Year of the Horse 2026".

At the ceremony, leaders of Ninh Kieu ward and representatives of the Charitable Foundation presented 100 gifts (each worth 600,000 VND) to poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households in the ward.
