The City's Employment Service Center invites businesses to participate in job fairs to advise and recruit workers to work abroad.
From 2022 to now, the city has sent 2,508 workers to work abroad. Thereby, demonstrating the efforts and positivity of all levels, sectors and functional units in implementing many practical and feasible solutions. From February 2025, every weekend Saturday, workers will spend time going to the Employment Service Center (ESC) of Can Tho City, Ninh Kieu District and Anh Nguyen Coffee Shop, Phuoc Thoi Ward, O Mon District to experience the job cafe model. Here, workers enjoy soft drinks, listen to relaxing music, access information, consultation, job introduction and businesses pre-select candidates to work at home and abroad. In addition, the City's ESC continuously posts information on sending workers to work abroad on the Can Tho Employment Portal; Overseas Employment Portal; the Center's facebook/zalo/tiktok channels; and publishes overseas job bulletins. In addition to transmitting labor recruitment information to communes, wards, towns, training schools, and collaborator groups, the Center coordinates to organize job fairs, job consultation points, job fairs, etc. to attract many businesses to participate in order to promptly and widely disseminate information on sending workers abroad to workers. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu in Thoi Hoa A hamlet, Thoi Lai town, Thoi Lai district, whose son will work in Japan at the end of 2024, said: "After working at a garment company for about 10 years, my son wants to work in Japan. After viewing information about overseas job recruitment on social networks, my son was introduced by an official of the Thoi Lai town People's Committee to contact the City Employment Service Center for guidance on completing the necessary documents and procedures." The City Employment Service Center organizes interviews for workers, meetings with workers and their relatives, organizes Korean language training classes, receives applications from workers to register for the Korean language test under the EPS Program, and equips them with basic Japanese communication skills to confidently attend interviews...
At the workshop of units and enterprises sending workers to work abroad held at the end of April 2025, after listening to enterprises' information about activities as well as proposals to strengthen coordination to promote the work, Mr. Tieu Minh Duong, Deputy Director of the City Department of Home Affairs, directed the City's Employment Service Center to promptly connect and update orders with the need to recruit workers to work abroad, "hot" orders... to create conditions to attract reputable enterprises to participate in job transaction and recruitment events in Can Tho. At the same time, further strengthen communication forms to spread faster and stronger official and specific information about the city's support policies for workers who need to work abroad.
According to the City Social Policy Bank Branch, implementing Resolution No. 11/2023/NQ-HDND, up to now, 64 workers have received loans to work abroad. Credit staff enthusiastically guide borrowers to complete documents, procedures and disburse funds quickly according to regulations. With this support, city workers have the opportunity to work abroad, renew themselves, and improve their quality of life. According to Ms. Le Thanh Phuong in Dinh Thanh Hamlet, Dinh Mon Commune, Thoi Lai District, she was instructed to complete documents, loan procedures and exit procedures carefully and quickly. Ms. Phuong was able to borrow 90 million VND and go to work in Japan in early 2025. Ms. Phuong is working as a product packaging worker, with an income of 28-30 million VND/month, not including overtime.
Currently, the city has signed contracts with over 20 enterprises to recruit Can Tho workers to work abroad. According to Mr. Nguyen Tan Phuoc, representative of AMC International Investment Joint Stock Company, the company regularly participates in labor recruitment consulting at job fairs organized by the city's Employment Service Center. The city's labor force is diverse, abundant and potential. If they are interested in supporting preferential policies, workers will boldly register to work abroad.
In the coming time, the city will strengthen communication solutions, implement preferential policies, select potential and reputable markets, and industries suitable for the city's labor force to promote the work of sending workers abroad. Workers in need need to access official information, enjoy policies, and boldly register to go abroad, to have the opportunity to broaden their horizons, integrate into a dynamic working environment, practice industrial style, enrich themselves, and contribute to the city's socio -economic development.
