This program is part of a series of charitable activities by the "Green Dream" Fund, established by the Newspaper & Public Opinion in 2022, and now in its third year of implementation. The Green Dream Fund has the joint efforts and support of journalists and businesses, and today's program is especially supported by the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB).

The delegation worked and awarded scholarships at the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training - University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

At the event, journalist Le Tran Nguyen Huy - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Party Secretary, and Acting Editor-in-Chief of the Newspaper & Public Opinion - shared: “Today, the “Green Dream” Fund, in coordination with the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, has come to the Faculty and the University to award scholarships to talented and underprivileged students who have overcome difficulties, with the hope of encouraging and motivating them to continue their studies and training on the university campus and on their future career path. These gifts today not only have material significance but also spiritual meaning; they are a source of encouragement, companionship, and support for them to realize their dreams, aspirations for learning, and the desire to contribute as young people.”

Throughout its development, the Newspaper of Journalists & Public Opinion has always aimed to bring about and spread humane and ethical values, regardless of its role, whether in its mission of propaganda or social responsibility.

Journalist Le Tran Nguyen Huy also took the time to share about the development journey of the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper, the official publication of the Vietnam Journalists Association and a forum for journalists nationwide. He stated that over the years, the newspaper has achieved remarkable results. Its information and communication work, with its integrated newsroom model, has been leveraging its advantages in modern media trends and keeping pace with the new situation. The weekly print newspaper features many in-depth, high-quality articles.

In addition, many special publications have been highly appreciated by the press. The online newspaper congluan.vn is increasingly receiving public acceptance, with high and stable view counts, and its media coverage on television is expanding. Every year, the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper successfully organizes many outstanding programs and events such as the Editors-in-Chief Forum, the Journalists & Public Opinion Cup Football Tournament, the Press Moment Photo Contest, the Green Dream Golf Tournament for charity fundraising… along with many other social welfare activities.

Q. Editor-in-Chief of the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper, Le Tran Nguyen Huy, and Vice Rector of the University of Culture, Dinh Cong Tuan, signed a memorandum of cooperation to create a legal framework and common conditions for many future professional activities.

“We believe that, with our efforts and responsibility, the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper in particular and media agencies in general will contribute, together with journalism training institutions nationwide, to building a high-quality journalistic workforce for media agencies, contributing to the construction of a more professional, modern, and humane revolutionary Vietnamese press,” journalist Le Tran Nguyen Huy emphasized.

Associate Professor Bui Chi Trung – Deputy Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, shared that the scholarship program can be likened to a source of positive energy for students and the university. This is a meaningful activity dedicated to students, contributing to "igniting the flame," helping them to have more motivation to strive, study, and train, becoming good citizens who are useful to society. This is the second time the Fund has reached out to the students of the Institute, and we hope to continue with more programs in the future. These scholarships are given to journalism students – future journalists – and we hope that they will consider this as motivation, just like the name of the Fund – "Green Dream" – to maintain green energy, worthy of the affection that the Journalism Fund has bestowed upon them.

Welcoming the delegation, Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Cong Tuan – Vice Rector of the University of Culture – expressed his sincere gratitude for the affection shown by the Newspaper and MB Bank towards the Faculty of Creative Writing and Journalism and the University. He shared: “We find that the scholarship program for students is a very humane and meaningful act. With this sentiment and the cooperation today, we hope that in the future, the Newspaper & Public Opinion and MB Bank will have more exchanges, cooperation, and partnership with the Faculty in particular and the University of Culture in general...”.

Also on this occasion, the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper and the University of Culture agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation to create a legal framework and common conditions for many future professional activities. The signing ceremony opens up opportunities for further cooperation, exchange of information on journalism and media between the two sides, and dissemination of the values ​​that both sides are striving for.

This year, the Fund continues to award scholarships to students at the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Department of Creative Writing - Journalism, University of Culture, and the Academy of Journalism and Communication, with more than 20 scholarships totaling over 100 million VND...

Enthusiastically participating in the charitable trip at all three units, Ms. Do Thi Quynh, Deputy Director of Human Resources at Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB), representing the sponsoring partner, expressed her delight at attending this program. She emphasized that MB's mission is to build meaningful social welfare programs with the community every day, contributing to the overall development of the country.

MB Bank always aims for and desires to cooperate with reputable partners like the Newspaper & Public Opinion to be an extended arm in building this mission. MB hopes to join hands and continue to contribute to the journey of nurturing, accompanying, promoting, and developing the dreams of journalism students and future journalists…

Journalist Le Tran Nguyen Huy awarded scholarships to journalism students from the Academy of Journalism and Communication, hoping to further motivate them on their learning and training journey.

At the scholarship awarding ceremony at the Academy of Journalism and Communication, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Truong Giang – Deputy Director of the Academy – expressed her sincere gratitude for the valuable support of the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper and, this year, the additional sponsorship from MB Bank.

Associate Professor Truong Giang also shared that although the newspaper and the Academy have only signed a cooperation agreement a year ago, their relationship and partnership with the newspaper and the Vietnam Journalists Association have been long-standing and close.

This is the second year that the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper has awarded scholarships to journalism students at the Academy of Journalism and Communication.

At the same time, I hope you will cherish and be grateful for this, continuing your journey of self-improvement, developing your character and abilities, building your future, and contributing to society,” affirmed Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Truong Giang.

Also at the program, many students from the schools who received scholarships shared their feelings about receiving meaningful gifts from the Newspaper & Public Opinion.

Vu Thi Hai Anh, a first-year student in the Public Relations program, K68, Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, is a hearing-impaired student facing many difficulties in pursuing her dream of becoming a communicator and journalist in the future.

Hai Anh shared emotionally: “Each student’s journey to university has its own unique story, its own different colors. However, to give each story a beautiful hue, scholarships like these will be a source of motivation, a beautiful stroke of the pen, inspiring me and my classmates to overcome difficulties and challenges to realize our dreams. I believe that the students receiving scholarships today will not only be decent journalists in the future, spreading positive messages, but they will also be like cool green trees sowing seeds of hope for life.”
