BSCKI Trinh Thi Lan Chi - Head of the Department of Reproductive Health (Bac Lieu Center for Disease Control) disseminated training contents.
In order to improve the professional capacity of health workers in the prevention and control of mother-to-child transmission diseases in the province, from May 30 to June 5, 2, the Bac Lieu Center for Disease Control organized 6 training courses to update the Ministry of Health's guidance on intervention techniques to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV, hepatitis B, and syphilis for health workers in the reproductive and pediatric sectors in Bac Lieu province working at various levels.
Participating in the training course, participants were provided with basic knowledge about HIV, hepatitis B, syphilis; master the process and techniques of intervention to prevent mother-to-child transmission; good practice in counseling, testing and screening for three diseases transmitted from mother to child…; at the same time understand the regional and national framework of action plans on prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, hepatitis B, and syphilis.
These contents will contribute to minimizing the rate of transmission of diseases from mother to child, especially pregnant women, mothers, infants and children who have access to services, and intervene to eliminate the transmission of HIV, hepatitis B and syphilis from mother to child in a continuous and best manner.
