To solve this shortcoming, two urgent tasks are set by the authorities: to soon repair the degraded roads and strengthen the control of vehicle loads to prevent overloaded vehicles from damaging the roads. .

* Many "potholes" on the highway

Mr. V.D.H. (living in TT. Trang Bom, Trang Bom) often drives a car on National Highway 1 to go to work in Bien Hoa City. Mr. H. said that in the past few weeks, on National Highway 1, the section from Bac Son commune (Trang Bom district) to Tan Bien ward (Bien Hoa city) appeared many large "potholes". , small. Most of them have a diameter of about 30cm, causing many drivers to suddenly have to turn sharply or suddenly slow down to avoid "potholes", so it is very dangerous for other vehicles on the road.

Similarly, along National Highway 51, section from An Hoa Ward (Bien Hoa City) to Long An Commune (Long Thanh District), the situation of "potholes" also appeared continuously, causing traffic participants to pass through the section. The top lane is very unsafe. In particular, the locations recognized by the authorities with the most "potholes" are the area in front of Son Tien tourist area, the intersection of Long Thanh golf course (Phuoc Tan Ward, Bien Hoa City) and the ring. rotate the road to the highway Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay (Long An commune, Long Thanh district).

This situation has been proposed by the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City and districts: Long Thanh, Trang Bom, etc. to relevant authorities and units to soon take remedial measures.

Vice Chairman of H. Trang Bom People's Committee Do Ngoc Nam said that before the situation of national highway 1 infrastructure through the locality was continuously degraded and damaged, the district People's Committee had proposed to the Department of Transport and Communications and the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee to have a solution. handling law. Especially focus on dealing with subsidence, wheel tracks on National Highway 1, the section from Ho Nai 3 commune to Trang Bom TT.

Up to now, many "potholes" and subsidence on Highway 1 and National Highway 51 are being gradually overcome by authorities. However, many locations that have just been patched by the management unit, only a few days later subsided or new cracks and settlements appeared right next to them.

* Enhanced load control – protect the road surface

At working sessions on traffic safety in Dong Nai in July and August 7, a representative of Road Management Zone IV (Vietnam Road Administration, Ministry of Transport and Communications) said that they had recorded recommendations of authorities about the situation of "potholes" appearing on national highways and requesting the route management unit to handle. Specifically, the "potholes" that appeared recently on National Highway 8 and National Highway 2023 have been continuously patched and overcome.

At the meeting with the Traffic Safety Committee of H.Xuan Loc on August 9, the Deputy Head of the Traffic Safety Committee of the province NOO THIEN ANH MINH proposed the management units to maintain and maintain National Highway 8. It is necessary to continue to coordinate with local authorities in inspecting and detecting damage and inadequacies of infrastructure. Thereby, promptly adjust, overcome, ensure traffic safety and road infrastructure.

However, due to the pressure from the number of cars moving continuously, the Road Management Area IV also requested the functional forces on duty to ensure traffic safety on national highways to soon detect and notify about traffic accidents. inadequacies and damage to infrastructure have just arisen. Thereby, the Zone will take measures to check and request the responsible unit to handle and ensure traffic safety on the route.

Along with that, the traffic police force of the provincial police and the provincial traffic inspectors are actively checking and controlling the loads of trucks and tractors operating on the highway to protect the road infrastructure. set. This is controlled by the camera system of the Provincial Traffic Safety Board and inspection teams of the functional forces right from the mines, ports, warehouses, etc. to ensure that the vehicles do not exceed the load when leaving the country. revealed.

Chief Inspector of Traffic (Department of Transport and Communications) Nguyen Phan Trong said that it is the drastic action in handling oversized and overloaded vehicles, so during the peak period of checking and handling violations of vehicle load. , loading goods on cars at the hubs of loading and unloading goods (from July 1 to 31) no oversized or overloaded vehicles were recorded. This will be strictly followed by the Traffic Inspector force in the coming time, contributing to the protection of road infrastructure.
