According to screenwriter Chau Quang Phuoc, this year's Lunar New Year film market is quite vibrant. The participation of the trio of directors who have grossed hundreds of billions of VND: Tran Thanh, Quang Dung - Diep The Vinh, and Thu Trang, promises to bring explosive revenue.

This year, Tran Thanh debuted in Vietnamese cinemas on the first day of Tet (January 29th) with two films: "The Four Revengeful Figures" (as director and producer) and "Falling in Love with My Best Friend" (as producer).

Unlike previous blockbusters like "Mai" and "Mrs. Nu's House," "The Four Vengeful Spirits" explores touching family stories and complicated romantic relationships. This time, Tran Thanh says he's shifting direction with a comedy to "welcome the new year with lots of refreshing laughter."

The film features Le Giang, Tran Thanh, Le Duong Bao Lam, Uyen An, Miss Ky Duyen, Tieu Vy, and Quoc Anh.

Performances run from the 1st to the 12th of January with 2-3 shows per day in the afternoon and evening.

The Idecaf Theatre and the Youth Theatre are equally vibrant with more than 10 captivating plays such as: "Under the Shadow of a Beautiful Woman", "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" (a spin-off), "Lost in Bangkok", "The Great Gathering of Monsters - Seven Spider Demons", "Oh, Gold!"… which will be performed from January 1st to 12th, with 1-2 performances each day in the afternoon and evening.

People's Artist My Uyen - Small Stage Drama Theatre (Drama 5B) said that at the beginning of the new year, most theaters choose plays with a lot of positive energy. This year, the theatre is presenting the play "The Magic Pen," which will be performed exclusively during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake, with the opening performance at 3 PM on January 19th and other performances at the same time on the 1st to 3rd day of the Lunar New Year.
