TH and the Vietnamese imprint on Russian soil

In Kaluga, a land of snow and gentle sunshine in Russia, on May 11th, the TH Fresh Milk Processing Plant was officially inaugurated, representing a new, clear, and steadfast voice of the Vietnamese people in the heart of the world. This project was built not only on capital and technology, but also on the will and responsibility of a corporation that has overcome hardships to create sustainable achievements.

A significant milestone

The plant is located in Borovsk district, Kaluga province – a region identified by the Russian government as a key growth area for the dairy industry in the next decade, with the goal of producing 1 million tons of raw milk by 2030, a 40% increase from the current level. Phase one of the TH project here has a capacity of 500 tons/day, aiming for 1,000 tons/day by 2026. This is one of the largest milk processing plants in the Russian Federation.

Furthermore, TH Group is implementing a comprehensive, closed-loop ecosystem "from green pastures to a glass of clean milk." High-tech dairy farms will continue to be improved, including the K2 farm in Kaluga and expansion areas in Bashkortostan and Primorsky, creating a modern supply chain with quality control according to international standards.

The entire production chain utilizes advanced technology from Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, China, and other countries, meeting the highest food safety and quality standards of the Russian market.

The deep historical roots and special tradition of friendly cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation is a moving and enduring story, woven from a wealth of profound events. Despite the many changes the world has undergone, the flow of Vietnam-Russia relations remains steadfast like an unchanging underground stream, continued through generations of politicians , intellectuals, businesspeople, and people of both countries.

TH Group's project in Russia is inseparable from that context. History has created a solid spiritual foundation, enabling Vietnamese businesses to be accepted not only through economic rationality but also through emotion and empathy.

Speaking at the Vietnam-Russia Business Forum on the occasion of the event, General Secretary To Lam emphasized: “At this stage, the need for innovation is being placed on Vietnam-Russia relations, especially in cooperation between businesses of the two countries. I hope that the business communities of both sides will not miss the opportunity, quickly seize and utilize opportunities to develop in a manner worthy of the stature of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.”

The inauguration of the TH factory in Kaluga, with the presence of the General Secretary, is a vivid symbol of that spirit. It is also concrete evidence of the correct policy of the Vietnamese Party and State in considering the private sector as an important driving force of the economy, a pioneering force in innovation and the development of science and technology – as General Secretary To Lam, on behalf of the Politburo, signed and issued Resolution 68-NQ/TW (dated May 4, 2025) on the development of the private sector.

In her speech, Ms. Thai Huong - founder and Chairwoman of the Strategic Council of TH Group - emotionally affirmed:

“The Vietnamese people will always remember the heartfelt assistance of Russia during the fierce years of war. TH Group came to Russia during the embargo period, followed by epidemics and conflicts, but with unwavering determination and great resolve, embodying the heroic spirit of a heroic nation, it overcame all difficulties, resulting in the inauguration of the TH fresh milk processing plant in Kaluga today, demonstrating professionalism, dedication, systematic approach, and seriousness.”

The project was implemented seriously, professionally, and with profound humanitarian significance. Despite facing sanctions, the Covid-19 pandemic, special military operations, and numerous geopolitical challenges, support policies from the Russian government were maintained in line with the development of self-reliant and modern agriculture – further affirming TH's strategic importance and long-term vision in Russia.

From pasteurized milk, yogurt, kefir to cheese, ice cream and fermented products, TH not only produces food but also creates real value: clean, safe, and healthy. TH applies science and technology and management science to optimize costs, ensure the highest quality, and deliver products to consumers at reasonable prices – as evidenced by the Gold and Special awards TH has won at numerous international trade fairs and exhibitions.

The message "Let's make a glass of pure Vietnamese-Russian milk" is not just an invitation to consumption, but a cultural symbol, evoking a human connection between the two countries.

TH also actively invests in education, healthcare, and community development in Kaluga. Local authorities call it "an investor not simply coming for profit, but co-creating a new land" - the most concrete manifestation of a constructive enterprise, not only in the economic field, but also on the ethical and social responsibility fronts.
