Previously, on June 6, 2026, Mr. TMC (residing in Hamlet 4, Duong Minh Chau Commune) discovered a Javan pangolin in his family's farmland. Recognizing that this was a protected wild animal, he proactively reported the sighting and voluntarily handed it over to the authorities.
After receiving the animal, Mobile Forest Ranger and Forest Fire Prevention and Fighting Team No. 1, in coordination with the Duong Minh Chau Commune Police, conducted a health check of the animal and advised the Commune People's Committee to complete all necessary procedures before releasing it back into the wild.

After a period of care and monitoring, the Javan pangolin is in stable health and is ready to return to its natural habitat. The release site was carefully selected to ensure suitable ecological conditions, helping the pangolin adapt and enhance its survival rate after being released back into the forest.
The Javan pangolin is a wild animal listed in the Category of Endangered, Rare, and Precious Forest Animals issued with Government Decree No. 06/2019/ND-CP, amended and supplemented by Decree No. 84/2021/ND-CP. Currently, this species is facing a serious threat of population decline due to the complex situation of illegal hunting, transportation, trade, and consumption.

The successful reception, rescue, and reintroduction of the Javan pangolin not only contributes to biodiversity conservation and the restoration of wildlife populations in the wild, but also demonstrates the effective coordination between relevant agencies and the sense of responsibility of the people in protecting nature and conserving wildlife.
The Tay Ninh Provincial Forest Protection Department advises people to promptly report or voluntarily hand over any injured, illegally kept, or strayed wild animals found in residential areas to the authorities for rescue, care, and proper handling in accordance with the law.
