Ban Gioc Waterfall is known as the most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam with successive levels, stretching hundreds of meters.
The beauty of Ban Gioc Waterfall was captured by author Vu Minh Hien through the photo album "Ban Gioc Waterfall, the most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam" and submitted to the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam", organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications .
Ban Gioc Waterfall is located in Dam Thuy Commune, Trung Khanh District, Cao Bang Province, on the flow of Quay Son River. The eastern half of the waterfall on the right belongs to China's sovereignty in Duc Thien Village, Thac Long Town, Dai Tan District, Chongzuo City.
Quay Son River originates in China, flows into Vietnam at landmark 784 in Po Peo area, Ngoc Khe commune, Trung Khanh district. After pouring down the waterfall, the river turns completely into Chinese territory.
Ranked in the top 4 largest transnational waterfalls in the world, Ban Gioc Waterfall welcomes many domestic and foreign tourists every year to admire and record the magnificence of this waterfall.
The waterfall consists of two parts: Cao waterfall is a secondary waterfall because of its small amount of water, and Thap waterfall is the main waterfall located on the Vietnam-China border landmark.
On sunny days, those rays of light shine on the waterfall and resonate with the misty water, creating colorful, shimmering, magical rainbows.
