Over the past few days, complex flooding has occurred in Hoa Tam commune, Dak Lak province. Deep flooding continues in Phuoc Loc and Phuoc Giang villages, causing serious disruption; in Phuoc Giang village alone, rising floodwaters have completely isolated over 100 households with more than 600 people for over three days. Facing shortages of food, supplies, and medical care , the residents urgently need assistance from outside.
Recognizing the severity of the danger, Colonel Do Xuan Hung, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5, was present at the scene, directly commanding the forces and equipment to approach the isolated area. Under heavy rain, strong currents, and complex terrain, the rescue teams of Military Region 5 coordinated closely with local Party committees and authorities, striving to find the fastest and safest way to reach the area and deliver relief supplies.
With the spirit of "saving people is a command from the heart," the forces have overcome many deep and dangerous points, successfully opening an access corridor to Phuoc Giang village. Currently, forces of Military Region 5 are still actively surveying and expanding the access route to transport additional necessities, provide medical support, and be ready to evacuate people to safe areas if the floods continue to worsen.
