Ho Chi Minh City – Authorities conducted a surprise inspection of a house displaying a sign that read "Mr. Lee" in Thu Duc City, noting that one person had just undergone a cosmetic nose lift procedure, while other customers were receiving consultations.

On September 22, representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health Inspectorate announced that they had coordinated an inspection following complaints from citizens via the online health application and written reports.

At the time of inspection, the facility was equipped with an examination bed, a cabinet for medical equipment, and tools for injecting fillers, as well as various tools for nose lifting with threads, as advertised on social media. The place posted numerous advertisements for cosmetic services, including images of "Mr. Lee" performing nose lifting with threads and filler injections on clients.

The establishment failed to present professional qualifications, medical practice certificates, and other legal documents related to its cosmetic operations. The owner claimed to the inspection team that she had learned the technique in South Korea and that she had performed the procedure correctly, even though she could not provide any documentation related to her cosmetic practice.

The inspection team drew up a report, demanding that the establishment cease its illegal cosmetic practice and stop its illegal advertising on social media. The Department's inspectors invited representatives from the establishment twice to clarify the violations, but the person referred to as "Mr. Lee" refused to comply. The Department has sent a document to the People's Committee and the Police Department of Thu Duc City requesting their cooperation in strictly handling this case.

Recently, the Department has continuously penalized and suspended the operations of many individuals and beauty salons and clinics that violated regulations and operated without permits, affecting the health and lives of citizens. Citizens who discover or suspect illegal beauty establishments with signs of violations can call the hotline 0989.401.155 or report through the Online Health application so that the Department's Inspectorate can promptly detect and handle violations according to regulations.
