Established in 2020, the Lua Vy Agricultural Products Processing Cooperative in Quan Son commune primarily operates in the production and trading of various types of tea. Ms. Vi Thi Lua, Director of the Cooperative, stated: "From the very beginning, the Cooperative recognized the crucial role of linkages in its development. These linkages extend beyond individual members to include other households, businesses, and cooperatives. Specifically, to date, the Cooperative has partnered with 50 households, 2 cooperatives, and 3 businesses, from production to product consumption. Thanks to these linkages, the Cooperative has built a stable and high-quality raw material growing area, and its market is continuously expanding. By 2025, the Cooperative aims to sell nearly 100,000 products of teas such as Houttuynia cordata, Rhus chinensis, and guava tea."
Similarly, the Quyet Tien Cooperative in Hoang Van Thu commune also focuses on promoting production linkages, thereby continuously improving the cooperative's operational efficiency and effectively addressing the product consumption issue for the people. Mr. Ly Ngoc Tu, Director of the Cooperative, said: For many years, the economy of the people in the village has mainly depended on the Vanh Khuyen persimmon tree. However, in previous years, the consumption of the people's products was unstable, often falling into the situation of "good harvest, low prices" and vice versa. Faced with this reality, in 2022, the Cooperative was established to act as a central point to organize production and product consumption for cooperative members as well as some households. Currently, in addition to 16 members, the Cooperative also links with 43 other persimmon-growing households with a total area maintained at over 133 hectares. When participating in the Cooperative, members and linked households receive support in terms of seedlings, fertilizers, and other supplies to improve production efficiency. At the same time, to ensure market stability, the cooperative proactively links with reputable businesses and purchasing agents to ensure that the purchase price of persimmons from its members and affiliated households is 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg higher than the market price.
Along with the two aforementioned cooperatives, recognizing the important role of linkages, many cooperatives in the province have proactively sought to establish linkages between cooperatives, between cooperatives and businesses, and between cooperatives and individual producers to overcome limitations and improve efficiency from production to product consumption. According to data from the Provincial Cooperative Union, there are currently 559 registered cooperatives operating in the province, including 391 agricultural cooperatives and 168 non-agricultural cooperatives. The total registered charter capital of these cooperatives is over 1,124 billion VND, with a total of 6,200 cooperative members and over 8,200 cooperative workers. Among the registered cooperatives, 72 agricultural cooperatives are involved in production and product consumption linkages. Many of these cooperatives have successfully promoted production and product consumption linkages, such as the Trang Dinh Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative in That Khe commune; and the Ban Quyen Agricultural and Forestry Products Production and Service Cooperative in Trang Dinh commune. Thanh Loc Cooperative, Mau Son commune; Nhu Y Cooperative, Bac Son commune; Quang Huy Trade and Service Cooperative, Chi Lang commune...
Mr. Lieu Xuan Du, Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union, stated: Most cooperatives in the province are small-scale, with limited capital, limited experience and production techniques, and a small market... Given this reality, strengthening linkages among cooperatives will help resolve the internal difficulties of each cooperative. This will enable cooperatives to gradually improve product quality, increase competitiveness in the market, and create more jobs and income for local workers...
To enhance the effectiveness of linkages, in addition to the proactive efforts of cooperatives, in recent years, the Provincial Cooperative Union, in coordination with relevant departments and agencies, has organized an average of 20 propaganda conferences and 10 training courses on collective economy and cooperatives annually, including content related to production and product consumption linkages of cooperatives... Through these activities, cooperatives gain more information and knowledge to connect and build linkages to improve production and business efficiency. By 2025, the average revenue of cooperatives in the province is expected to reach 500 million to over 1 billion VND/cooperative/year.
Production linkages have, to some extent, resolved the difficulties and limitations of many cooperatives in the province. It is believed that in the future, production linkages among cooperatives will continue to be effective. This will help cooperatives further develop their potential and advantages, thereby contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the province.
