Thanh Son district now has one more commune that meets the standards for new rural areas.

Thach Khoan commune, Thanh Son district, has just been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a commune meeting the standards of a new rural area in Decision No. 2119/QD-UBND dated October 28, 2024. To date, Thanh Son district has a total of 7 out of 22 communes and towns that have met the new rural area standards.

People in Thach Khoan commune are pouring concrete for rural roads in the Chieng Noi area.

According to the assessment report, Thach Khoan commune has met 19 out of 19 criteria and 57 out of 57 indicators for the new rural development program as stipulated. The results for some criteria and indicators are particularly high, such as: Criterion No. 2 on transportation, with 100% of roads paved, ensuring convenient year-round access for vehicles, and achieving an 85% paving rate; Criterion No. 5 on schools, with 3 out of 3 schools meeting national standards (100% of schools at all levels); and Criterion No. 11 on multidimensional poverty reduction, with a 2.42% reduction in the multidimensional poverty rate.

Thach Khoan commune was awarded a certificate recognizing it as a new-style rural commune by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and received a reward of 1 billion VND to invest in and build public welfare facilities.

The People's Committee of Thanh Son district, in coordination with the Provincial New Rural Development Coordination Office, organized the announcement and public disclosure of the titles and will continue to direct the maintenance and improvement of the quality of the criteria in the coming time.
