The breakthrough is also shown in many statistical indicators compared to other localities such as provincial competitiveness index, administrative reform index, digital transformation index, poverty reduction index...
Who has difficulties? Dak Nong has difficulties
In addition to the achievements, the Deputy Prime Minister also asked the province to pay special attention to solving difficulties and challenges, which he feels are so diverse that "if anyone has any difficulty, Dak Nong has that difficulty." ”.
The Deputy Prime Minister explained that Dak Nong is a locality with too many specific and special characteristics, so the general and universal legal framework of the whole country cannot create conditions for the province to develop, especially planning and exploitation. Vietnam's mineral exploitation, including bauxite mining planning.
On the other hand, of the total natural land area of the locality (about 65.000 hectares), 2/3 is forest and mineral land, while 1/3 of the natural area for development is located in the north of the province. , bordering Dak Lak while the growth pole is located in the south - that is the Southeast.
Although the poverty reduction rate is among the highest in the country in 2023, the province still has many poor people, most of whom are ethnic minorities who still have limited development levels, unsustainable livelihoods, and poor customs. backward. Therefore, the upcoming poverty reduction task will be very difficult, especially in conditions of limited resources.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that the qualifications of officials in Dak Nong are also uneven, especially ethnic officials and officials working on ethnic affairs; Emphasizing whether or not the potential and development opportunities can be exploited "depends greatly on the capacity and attitude of the staff".
Dak Nong province is in the group of localities with the lowest budget revenue in the country, about 3.200 billion in 2023; The first 3 months of the year had the lowest budget revenue in the past 5 years. The Deputy Prime Minister said that the province must make efforts to improve immediately.
Besides, Dak Nong is also under competitive pressure from other localities in the region, which also have natural conditions and similar products such as macadamia, coffee, pepper, and tourism products. The Deputy Prime Minister said that to develop tourism, there must be unique and unique products.
Land rich in potential and 3 buttons tighten
Although there are still many difficulties and challenges, Dak Nong has a lot of potential for breakthrough development if the bottlenecks of: Traffic connection with the Southeast region, non-forestry land criteria, and mineral planning are resolved. property, Deputy Prime Minister commented.
Regarding connection with the Southeast, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Dak Nong has a unique advantage because it serves as a bridge between the Central Highlands and the Southeast region, which is developing strongly and will spread to Binh Duong and Binh Duong. Phuoc will eventually come to Dak Nong, so the province must proactively prepare carefully to catch up with this trend.
Through visiting the exhibition within the framework of the Conference, the Deputy Prime Minister realized very positive signs of the "agricultural economy" in the locality, that is, agriculture exploits the strengths of its own agricultural products, resulting in combining tourism with agriculture and agricultural production along the value chain.
The Deputy Prime Minister also said that if legal obstacles for renewable energy and clean energy development projects can be resolved, Dak Nong province will become a strong locality in renewable energy, contributing to The whole country realizes the goal of reducing net emissions to zero by 2050.
The Deputy Prime Minister also assessed that the leaders of Dak Nong province over time have always been hungry, enthusiastic and acted decisively for the development of the province; Emphasizing that this is "great spiritual value" for the local breakthrough in the future.
Leaders must set an example and be kind
To fully exploit their potential and advantages, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested that first of all, local government officials at all levels must truly unite, stick together and know how to share; In particular, the leader must set an example, dare to take responsibility, must be a kind person, first of all be kind to comrades and brothers, be kind to the people, most importantly be kind to the law to avoid lost officers.
With 35% of the population being members of 40 ethnic minorities living in the province, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that provincial authorities at all levels pay more attention to ethnic minorities in terms of livelihoods and human resources. ethnic people and officials working on ethnic affairs.
Economic development must be associated with preserving resources and biodiversity, especially preserving forests, so that Dak Nong remains the lung for the Central Highlands region and for the whole country, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized and said in In the near future, forests in the Central Highlands will be statistically and re-measured to understand the current state of the forests here, as a basis for promulgating accurate policies.
The Deputy Prime Minister also asked Dak Nong province to proactively exchange experiences, models, and good practices of other localities; Continue to promote digital transformation (the province ranks 24/63 provinces and cities in 2023) to enhance transparency and it is transparency that will help the province gain the trust of investors.
Dak Nong province must also be selective in investment because limited resources cannot do many things at the same time and be selective in attracting investment, for example, investing in aluminum production will bring 3 times more value. Compared to bauxite mining, from there Dak Nong can get rich from bauxite.
The Deputy Prime Minister also wanted the locality to increase exchange and coordination with central ministries and branches in removing difficulties and obstacles, initially in handling land use planning and mineral planning.
8 keywords to implement Planning

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, compliance is to ensure not to lose track and achieve the set goals.
At the same time, we must also be "flexible" in how we do things, even for goals that do not have core values, we can change or propose adjustments to the competent authority because we are talking about the next 6 years, about Looking at the next 26 years is certainly not easy, the Deputy Prime Minister shared.
Planning must be implemented "synchronously" with the general planning of the country, regional and sectoral planning and a series of subordinate plans because if they are not synchronized with each other, they will not have the legal conditions to do anything. .
The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that responsible people must "understand" the Plan for implementation; Businesses and people must "understand" to support and accompany the government, together with the government to detect problems in this planning for timely correction./.
