"Giving a new look" to Thien Cam Tourist Area

Contractors are concentrating manpower and machinery to accelerate the construction progress of the infrastructure project for the Nam Thien Cam Tourist Area, striving to complete it in time for the opening of the 2024 tourist season.

The infrastructure construction project for the Nam Thien Cam Tourist Area is invested by the People's Committee of Cam Xuyen District with a total budget of over 176 billion VND.

The project includes three roads with a total length of over 4.2km and a system of sidewalks, drainage ditches, street lighting, and wastewater collection and treatment systems.

Hoang Son Joint Stock Company mobilized more than 100 workers, divided into 4 teams, to pave the sidewalks.

Phase 1 of the project has a total investment of over 75 billion VND; implementation is from January 2023 to December 31, 2024. However, to ensure the tourism development goals for 2024 are met, contractors are focusing manpower and machinery to accelerate construction, striving to complete the project before April 30, 2024 (8 months ahead of schedule) as committed to the investor.

Currently, at the Nam Thien Cam Tourist Area construction site, contractors are mobilizing hundreds of workers to focus on the construction of various components. On the embankment road construction package undertaken by Hoang Son Joint Stock Company ( Nghe An ), a group of workers is busily laying sidewalks. To accelerate progress, the company has mobilized over 100 workers, divided into four teams, to carry out the various tasks. To date, the company has achieved over 65% of the project's progress.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, site manager of Hoang Son Joint Stock Company, said: “At the end of October 2023, the company only received the handover of the land after the district cleared the system of business kiosks along the embankment. Concerned about the progress, we mobilized a large amount of machinery and manpower to focus on construction. Fortunately, the weather in the last months of the year was quite favorable, and to date, the company has completed the following items: trenches, centrifugal drainage pipes for rainwater and wastewater. The road foundation has also been basically completed. After paving the sidewalks, we will continue to focus on paving the road.”

Also focusing on completing the contract for road section No. 3, Hai Dang Trading and Construction Service Co., Ltd. (Cam Xuyen) is currently mobilizing machinery to restore the construction site so that the Cam Xuyen District People's Committee can implement the planning for the construction of business stalls. Currently, the company has completed over 80% of the work.

Mr. Le Ngoc Thong, Deputy Director of Hai Dang Trading and Construction Services Co., Ltd., said: “The district plans to zone and build food and beverage service kiosks along Route 3. Therefore, the construction progress of the road must be accelerated. According to the commitment with the investor, Route 3 will be completed before April 30, 2024, but with the current progress, we will finish construction before the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon.”

According to the Cam Xuyen District Investment and Construction Project Management Board, the infrastructure of the Nam Thien Cam Tourist Area is being constructed by four contractors, with progress currently exceeding 70%. In the early days of the new year, the contractors are taking advantage of favorable weather conditions, concentrating maximum manpower, equipment, and machinery to accelerate construction progress, striving to complete and accept phase 1 of the project before April 30, 2024 (8 months ahead of schedule) in time for the 2024 tourist season.
