CNN reported on September 28th that the news of Michael Gambon's death was announced to the media by his spokesperson, Clair Dobbs, on behalf of the actor's family.
"We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Michael Gambon. He passed away peacefully in hospital, surrounded by his wife Anne and son Fergus," Clair Dobbs said in a statement.
