With the goal of winning the 2025-2026 V-League championship, The Cong - Viettel Club has added quality foreign players and overseas Vietnamese to its squad. After the trial period, the team officially signed contracts with foreign player Paulo Tadeu Viana Martins and 3 overseas Vietnamese players Damian Vu Thanh An, Kyle Colonna and Duong Thanh Tung.

Paulo Tadeu Viana Martins (aka Paulinho Curua) was born in 1997 and plays as a defensive midfielder. He is 1.87m tall and has a strong playing style, which is very much liked by head coach Velizar Popov.

Midfielder Damian Vu Thanh An was born in 2003, is a Vietnamese expatriate with a Vietnamese father and a Polish mother. He grew up at Olimpia Grudziadz, only playing in the lower Polish leagues before returning to Vietnam.

Striker Duong Thanh Tung was born in 1999, lives in the Czech Republic and has Vietnamese parents. He grew up in the Banik Most club's training center and tried his hand at the V-League last season with Binh Dinh but did not stand out. With Vietnamese nationality, Thanh Tung will be registered as a domestic player.

The remaining player, center-back Kyle Colonna , has proven his ability by playing for Hanoi FC, winning the runner-up position in V-League 2024 - 2025.

Kyle has Vietnamese, American and Italian blood. Standing at 1.88m tall, he is very strong in aerial combat and is expected to join Bui Tien Dung to create a steel wall in front of the goal of The Cong - Viettel.

Coach Velizar Popov's team will play their opening match of the 2025-2026 V-League against Cong An Ha Noi on August 15 at Hang Day Stadium. The opponent of the army team has also recently recruited a series of quality foreign players and overseas Vietnamese, including Stefan Mauk, Brandon Ly and Adou Minh, promising to create an explosive derby with high professional quality.

Except for the new recruit PVF-CAND, the V-League clubs have now completed their personnel registration for the tournament. However, according to the tournament regulations, they will still have the right to change players (maximum 4 people) before September 15 (round 3 of V-League) if there is any dissatisfaction.
