With the goal of winning the V-League 2025 - 2026 championship, The Cong - Viettel Club supplemented the squad with quality foreign players and overseas Vietnamese. After the trial period, the team officially signed contracts with foreign player Paulo Tadeu Viana Martins and 3 overseas Vietnamese Damian Vu Thanh An, Kyle Colonna and Duong Thanh Tung.

Paulo Tadeu Viana Martins (aka Paulinho Curua) was born in 1997 and plays as a defensive midfielder. He is 1.87m tall and has a strong playing style, which is very much liked by head coach Velizar Popov.

Midfielder Damian Vu Thanh An was born in 2003, is a Vietnamese-American with a Vietnamese father and a Polish mother. He grew up at Olimpia Grudziadz, only playing in the lower leagues of Poland before returning to Vietnam.

Striker Duong Thanh Tung was born in 1999, lives in the Czech Republic and has Vietnamese parents. He grew up in the Banik Most club's training center and tried his hand at the V-League last season with Binh Dinh but did not have anything outstanding. With Vietnamese nationality, Thanh Tung will be registered as a domestic player.

The remaining player is center-back Kyle Colonna , who has affirmed his level when playing for Hanoi Club, winning the runner-up position in V-League 2024 - 2025.

Kyle has Vietnamese, American and Italian blood. With a height of 1.88m, he is very strong in aerial combat, expected to join Bui Tien Dung to create a steel wall in front of the goal of The Cong - Viettel.

Coach Velizar Popov's team will play their opening match of V-League 2025 - 2026 against Cong An Ha Noi on August 15 at Hang Day Stadium. The opponent of the army team has also recently recruited a series of quality foreign players and overseas Vietnamese, including Stefan Mauk, Brandon Ly and Adou Minh, promising to create an explosive derby with high professional quality.

Except for the new PVF-CAND, the V-League clubs have now completed their personnel registration for the tournament. However, according to the tournament regulations, they will still have the right to change players (maximum 4 people) before September 15 (V-League round 3) if they are not satisfied.
