In his opening remarks at the course, Colonel Pham Hong Tham, Director of the Police Sports Training and Competition Center, emphasized: The National Sports Games is the pinnacle of national sports, where not only are records and professional achievements recorded, but also the character, ethics, and conduct of police officers are affirmed.
In the context of modern sports, anti-doping plays a particularly important role, serving as a guiding principle in building a clean, honest, and sustainable sports environment. Each police athlete must not only compete for their country's colors but also be a shining example of noble sportsmanship.
The Director of the Public Security Sports Training and Competition Center also reminded athletes and coaches that, in recent times, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Vietnam Olympic Committee have tightened doping checks before, during, and after competitions. Just one moment of carelessness, a pill, a bottle of water, a piece of candy... of unknown origin, can ruin an athlete's 10-15 year career, or even 20 years of hard training.

"There have been gold medals stripped away, and belated tears shed, all because of a lack of understanding about doping. These are costly lessons that coaches and athletes should never allow to fall into," Colonel Pham Hong Tham emphasized.
Taking place over two days, from June 4th to 5th, the training course focused on equipping coaches and athletes with the most up-to-date and core knowledge regarding national and international legal regulations. Participants received detailed information on the World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) 2026 list of banned substances, doping control procedures at competitions, and individual accountability in the event of medical incidents.
The organizers are particularly alerting athletes to the risk of "accidental doping" due to the use of common medications or dietary supplements of unknown origin. Raising awareness will help protect the achievements, honor, and competitive careers of athletes leading up to the major sporting event.

Alongside doping control, the science of sports psychology was also a key focus of this training course. To best prepare for the intense competitive pressures at the 10th National Sports Games, experts shared various methods for stress management, emotional control, and maintaining a positive mental state throughout the extended training and competition periods.
Practical exercises on psychological therapy and how to overcome mental barriers when facing injury or strong opponents received enthusiastic responses and lively discussions from the trainees. This is crucial in helping athletes optimize their peak performance, confidently unleash their full potential, and achieve the highest possible results.
The 10th National Sports Games in 2026 is the largest sporting event in the country, bringing together the most outstanding talents in Vietnamese sports. With a tradition of being one of the most successful units with a strong sports movement, the Public Security Sports Delegation aims to continue maintaining its position in the top 6 overall.
