Accordingly, the three communes considered for recognition as achieving New Rural Area standards in Tuan Giao district are: Quai Nua, with 14 out of 19 criteria met and 5 criteria basically met; and Quai Cang and Chieng Sinh, both meeting 13 out of 19 criteria and 6 criteria basically met.
The communes considered to have basically met the new rural standards include: Chieng So - Dien Bien Dong district (8/19 criteria met, 8/19 criteria basically met, 3/19 criteria not yet met); Phi Nhu - Dien Bien Dong district (10/19 criteria met, 6/19 criteria basically met, 3/19 criteria not yet met) and Muong Dun - Tua Chua district (12/19 criteria met, 4/19 criteria basically met, 3/19 criteria not yet met).
Based on the review of the application dossiers and the assessment results of the implementation of 19 criteria in the National Criteria Set for New Rural Development of the communes, the Appraisal Council discussed and unanimously recognized the three communes of Quài Cang, Quài Nưa, and Chiềng Sinh (Tuần Giáo district) as meeting the New Rural Development standards with 20/20 votes in favor; the communes of Chiềng Sơ, Phì Nhừ, and Mường Đun are considered to have basically met the New Rural Development standards in 2024.
