Universities opening many new majors provide more choices for students.
The Director of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City has signed a decision agreeing to assign two member universities to jointly conduct a pilot program for undergraduate training in Korean Business and Commerce.
Specifically, the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) has assigned the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to collaborate with the University of Economics and Law to pilot a bachelor's degree program in Korean Business and Commerce. This is the first interdisciplinary, inter-university training program at VNU-HCM.
By studying this program, students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to communicate in Korean, understand Korean culture, history, and people, Korean business trends, and modern management and administration knowledge. This will open up many job opportunities, aligning with the trend of globalization, especially with Korean partners in Vietnamese and Korean agencies and businesses.
Upon completing the Korean Business Administration program, if the credit requirements are met, students can receive an additional Bachelor's degree in Korean Studies from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities or a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Economics and Law.
The Korean Business Administration program is expected to begin admitting 50 students in 2024.
Gia Dinh University also opened four new majors in this year's admissions cycle.
According to Mr. Trinh Huu Chung, M.Sc., Vice Rector of Gia Dinh University, the university has just opened four new majors starting this year: media technology, financial technology, economic law, and commercial business.
