Over the past period, with focused direction, targeted implementation, and resource investment, women's association work and movements in the province have seen positive changes, forming an important foundation for gathering and attracting women to participate in the association.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Krong Buk District, said that the district's Women's Union has 8 branches with nearly 9,000 members. The district's Women's Union has directed its branches to focus on various solutions to improve the quality of their activities. In particular, they have improved the content of their meetings by focusing on the needs and shortcomings of members and women; and developed models and clubs that suit women's interests to increase membership and attract more women.

To date, all 8 branches of the Women's Union regularly maintain health-enhancing models such as: the "Volleyball and Football" sports model; the "Healthy and Beautiful Women" Club, the "Confident, Self-Respecting, Loyal, and Capable Women" Club, the "Healthy and Beautiful Folk Dance" Club... attracting more than 10,300 cadres, members, and women participants; and maintaining 35 "Family with 5 No's and 3 Cleanliness Standards" models. To facilitate members' access to preferential loan sources, the District Women's Union has acted as an intermediary with the District Social Policy Bank, facilitating loans for over 2,000 women members to develop their businesses, totaling over 131 billion VND.
The Women's Union of Ea Kar district has a large membership of over 23,300 members. Along with innovating the content and methods of its activities, the various levels of the Union have promoted the application of information technology and social media in managing operations, developing the economy, and connecting to markets. In particular, they have focused on the lives of women through various activities such as: providing loans and livelihood support; mobilizing resources and connecting consumers with products for startups; launching movements and competitions… This has fostered trust and active participation among members and women in the organization.
As a model unit, the Women's Union of Ea Knop town (Ea Kar district) has developed many effective models to attract members. Notable examples include the "Women for a Green Environment" model, which collects recyclable waste to raise funds to support disadvantaged women (in 3 branches with nearly 200 members participating); the "Rice Jar of Compassion" and "Piggy Bank" models to assist women; and the "Gathering Women Online" and "Folk Songs and Traditional Music" models. Currently, the Women's Union of Ea Knop town has established 2 folk dance clubs and 10 folk dance teams in its branches, and has provided loans totaling over 1.3 billion VND to 150 members for economic development.
According to the Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, Kim Thoa Adrơng, the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Women's Union Congress (2021-2026 term) clearly stated that "Focusing on building strong grassroots organizations is one of the two breakthroughs to be implemented during the term, including the target: by the end of the term, the entire province will increase its membership by 16,500; striving to ensure that no grassroots organization has a participation rate of women aged 18 and above residing in the area below 60%."
As of the end of 2024, the entire province still had 4 women's associations (in the two districts of Ea Kar and Krông Búk) where the percentage of women aged 18 and over residing in the area participating in the association was below 60%.

Sharing the difficulties in gathering and attracting members, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tan, President of the Women's Union of Chu Kbo commune (Krong Buk district), said that the commune has a large area, a scattered population, and the lives of ethnic minorities are still difficult. Not to mention, a specific group of women is difficult to mobilize, such as ethnic minority women, religious women, elderly women, women working in rubber plantations, teachers, etc., who mainly participate in activities in specific locations or workplaces. On the other hand, the union's operating budget is limited, the way activities are organized in some branches is not flexible, and the content is monotonous. Some women work far from home, bear the economic burden of their families, and their husbands do not create conditions for them to participate in union activities…
In order to effectively implement the membership development targets set forth in the resolution, in February 2025, the Provincial Women's Union organized a workshop on "Solutions for attracting and gathering members" in Krông Búk and Ea Kar districts, thereby identifying the causes and proposing effective solutions for units that have difficulty gathering members.
Ea Kmút commune is the remaining unit in Ea Kar district that has not yet met the target for membership development (reaching 56.19% by the end of 2024). Based on this reality, the Women's Union of Ea Kmút commune has intensified measures and built models such as: "Older Women's Club," "My Village is Green, Clean, and Beautiful," "Family Violence Prevention Club," and "Folk Dance and Sports Club." They organize activities linked to the needs and interests of women. At the same time, they promote the role of core members and influential people in the community to introduce and recruit new members; implement programs to support loans and provide startup advice; build a charity fund, a savings rice jar, and collect donations to help women facing misfortune or illness...
As a result, by the end of February 2025, the Women's Union of Ea Kmút commune had gained 109 new members, bringing the total number of members to 1,750 out of 2,890 women aged 18 and above residing in the area (reaching 60.5%). Currently, 100% of units in Ea Kar district have a membership rate exceeding 60%.
