“Putting the interests of the people, the nation and the country above all in all patriotic emulation movements” is one of the important instructions of Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, Vice Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council at the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress of Thai Nguyen province, term 2025 - 2030, which took place on the morning of October 30. Also attending the Congress was former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh.

At the Congress, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien praised and congratulated the outstanding results that the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Thai Nguyen province have achieved in the past 5 years. In order for the patriotic emulation movement to truly become a driving force for the rapid and sustainable development of Thai Nguyen, in the coming time, the province needs to focus on synchronously implementing a number of key tasks. That is to continue to thoroughly grasp President Ho Chi Minh's patriotic emulation ideology, associated with the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on emulation and rewards. Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized: "Emulation work must be associated with educating the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of solidarity, the will to self-reliance and self-improvement so that each cadre, party member, civil servant, public employee and people in the province have a deeper understanding of the meaning and role of patriotic emulation in the cause of national construction and development".

Thai Nguyen province needs to clearly identify emulation and rewards as important political tasks, as endogenous driving forces to promote the development of each agency, unit and the whole province. Emulation does not stop at encouraging and motivating but must create strong changes in thinking and action, linking emulation with innovation, productivity, quality and work efficiency. All levels and sectors need to take emulation results as important criteria to evaluate the capacity and level of task completion of collectives and individuals.

Mr. Do Van Chien suggested that Thai Nguyen pay more attention to organizing and launching emulation movements that must be associated with the goal of promoting creativity, sense of responsibility and aspiration to contribute of all classes of people, considering it as the foundation and driving force to arouse endogenous strength, promote all potentials and resources for development; in particular, must put the interests of the people, the nation and the people above all, first. Besides, all levels and sectors need to proactively propose breakthrough and creative solutions; mobilize and effectively use resources; take emulation effectiveness as an important criterion to evaluate the capacity and level of task completion of cadres and party members.

With the revolutionary tradition of "Resistance Capital", Thai Nguyen will be the pioneer province in major emulation movements launched by the Central Government such as: The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation; Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas; For the poor - No one is left behind; The whole country competes in building a learning society, promoting lifelong learning... Along with promoting emulation, the province needs to improve the quality of commendation work, ensuring democracy, publicity, fairness and timeliness; focusing on rewarding direct workers, collectives and individuals in remote areas, ethnic minority areas; promptly praising new factors, typical advanced models, creating a widespread influence.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, the patriotic emulation movement of Thai Nguyen province developed strongly and comprehensively, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals. The average GRDP growth rate reached 7.3%/year, the total GRDP in 2025 reached about 202,925 billion VND, an increase of 1.6 times compared to 2020. GRDP per capita reached 119 million VND/year. State budget revenue increased from 16,440 billion VND (2020) to 24,735 billion VND (2025). The province attracted 231 domestic projects with a total capital of 81,734 billion VND, 150 FDI projects with a total capital of 2.73 billion USD.

The movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" has achieved many important results. The poverty rate in Thai Nguyen has decreased by an average of 1.41% per year; the health insurance coverage rate has reached over 95%, 100% of communes have met national health standards. The emulation movement in administrative reform and digital transformation has been promoted. Thai Nguyen is the first province to complete the project of rearranging commune-level administrative units and merging with the old Bac Kan province; contributing to streamlining the apparatus, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of management. With these outstanding results, the province continues to affirm its position as a bright spot in the patriotic emulation movement nationwide.

On this occasion, authorized by the President, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, Vice Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, awarded the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals to 23 outstanding collectives and individuals in their work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland. Thai Nguyen province received the Government's Emulation Flag for its outstanding achievements in the 2024 emulation movement of the Red River Delta and midland provinces. Many outstanding collectives and individuals were awarded for their contributions to patriotic emulation movements in the period 2020 - 2025.
