At the Congress, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Do Van Chien, praised and congratulated the outstanding achievements of the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in Thai Nguyen province over the past five years. To ensure that the patriotic emulation movement truly becomes a driving force for the rapid and sustainable development of Thai Nguyen, the province needs to focus on implementing several key tasks in the coming period. These include continuing to thoroughly understand President Ho Chi Minh's ideology of patriotic emulation, linking it with the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws on emulation and commendation. Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized: "Emulation work must be closely linked to the education of patriotic traditions, the spirit of solidarity, and the will for self-reliance and self-improvement so that each cadre, Party member, civil servant, and citizen in the province has a deeper understanding of the meaning and role of patriotic emulation in the cause of national construction and development."
Thai Nguyen province needs to clearly define emulation and reward as an important political task, an intrinsic driving force promoting the development of each agency, unit, and the entire province. Emulation should not only stop at encouragement and motivation but must create strong changes in thinking and action, linking emulation with innovation, productivity, quality, and work efficiency. All levels and sectors should use emulation results as an important criterion for evaluating the capacity and level of task completion of collectives and individuals.
Mr. Do Van Chien suggested that Thai Nguyen should pay more attention to organizing and launching emulation movements that are linked to the goal of promoting the creative capacity, sense of responsibility, and aspiration for contribution of all strata of the people, considering this as the foundation and driving force to unleash internal strength and develop all potential and resources for development; especially, placing the interests of the people, the nation, and the people above all else. In addition, all levels and sectors need to proactively propose breakthrough and creative solutions; mobilize and effectively utilize resources; and use the effectiveness of emulation as an important criterion for evaluating the capacity and level of task completion of cadres and Party members.

With its revolutionary tradition as the "Capital of Resistance," Thai Nguyen will be a pioneering province in major emulation movements launched by the Central Government, such as: the nationwide emulation in innovation and digital transformation; promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; the nationwide joint effort to build new rural areas; for the poor - leaving no one behind; the nationwide emulation in building a learning society and promoting lifelong learning… Along with promoting emulation, the province needs to improve the quality of reward work, ensuring democracy, transparency, fairness, and timeliness; focusing on rewarding direct laborers, collectives, and individuals in remote areas and ethnic minority regions; promptly commending new factors and advanced models, creating a widespread impact.
During the period 2020-2025, the patriotic emulation movement in Thai Nguyen province will develop strongly and comprehensively, contributing to the successful achievement of socio-economic development goals. The average GRDP growth rate will reach 7.3% per year, with a total GRDP of approximately VND 202,925 billion in 2025, a 1.6-fold increase compared to 2020. GRDP per capita will reach VND 119 million per year. State budget revenue will increase from VND 16,440 billion (2020) to VND 24,735 billion (2025). The province will attract 231 domestic projects with a total capital of VND 81,734 billion and 150 FDI projects with a total capital of USD 2.73 billion.
The "Nationwide Campaign to Build New Rural Areas" has achieved many important results. The poverty rate in Thai Nguyen has decreased by an average of 1.41% per year; the health insurance coverage rate has reached over 95%, and 100% of communes have met national standards for healthcare. The emulation movement in administrative reform and digital transformation has been intensified. Thai Nguyen was the first province to complete the plan for rearranging commune-level administrative units and merging with the former Bac Kan province; contributing to streamlining the administrative apparatus and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of management. With these outstanding results, the province continues to affirm its position as a shining example in the nationwide patriotic emulation movement.

On this occasion, authorized by the President of Vietnam, Mr. Do Van Chien, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Vice Chairman of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council, presented the First, Second, and Third Class Labor Orders to 23 outstanding collectives and individuals for their contributions to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland. Thai Nguyen province received the Government's Emulation Flag for its outstanding achievements in the 2024 emulation movement of the Red River Delta and Midlands provinces. Many outstanding collectives and individuals received awards for their contributions to patriotic emulation movements during the 2020-2025 period.
