Over the years, the Women's Union of Tan Phuoc district, Tien Giang province, has achieved many results in studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh. The Tan Phuoc District Women's Union has linked the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style with the implementation of emulation movements and campaigns such as: "Focusing on building grassroots Women's Union branches, with the focus on improving the capacity of grassroots Women's Union officials"; the emulation of "Building the Vietnamese woman of the new era" linked with "Studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh" and the campaigns "Building a family with 5 no's and 3 clean's", "5 yes's and 3 clean's" and the implementation of the Union's key tasks. MANY CONCRETE AND PRACTICAL ACTIONS HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED.

To ensure that the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style are widely implemented and achieve high effectiveness, the Tan Phuoc District Women's Union has launched a campaign to study and follow Uncle Ho's teachings in all its branches through diverse forms of propaganda, including regular meetings of branches and clubs.

The Tan Phuoc District Women's Union regularly organizes trips to "historical sites" to propagate and educate its members and women about revolutionary traditions.

At the same time, integrate the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings into cultural and artistic exchange activities; organize thematic talks to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh's birthday; promote activities highlighting exemplary advanced models, new approaches, and good practices in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings...

Through the launching and promotion of propaganda and mobilization efforts, models of practicing thrift following President Ho Chi Minh's example have been effectively implemented by the Women's Union at all levels in Tan Phuoc district with various organizational forms such as clubs, groups, and women's teams... maintaining regular monthly and quarterly activities.

Currently, the entire district has models such as: "Women's Savings Groups Following Uncle Ho's Example," with savings exceeding 900 million VND over the past period, which has helped poor women and those in difficult circumstances borrow capital to start businesses and develop their family economies .

The Women's Union at all levels maintains 12 savings groups for purchasing health insurance, with 1,371 members participating. Over 10 years, they have saved over 1 billion VND, purchasing 1,624 health insurance cards for disadvantaged women and their family members. At the same time, the Women's Union at all levels in Tan Phuoc district also organizes and maintains 42 "Rice Jar of Compassion" groups, 115 "Piggy Bank" groups, and 118 "Revolving Fund" groups... to support members and women.

The Women's Union of Tan Phuoc district also launched many other forms of saving at home, such as saving electricity, rice, water, and daily expenses. These savings initiatives have helped female members and women develop awareness and habits in saving on expenses and shopping.

In particular, focus on activities aimed at poor and disadvantaged women and children. Through this, create a clear transformation in the awareness of self-cultivation, moral development, and lifestyle of cadres, members, and women in their studies, work, and activities.

Implementing the "Godmother" program to support the care and upbringing of orphaned children affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Women's Union branches at all levels in Tan Phuoc district have reviewed and identified the number of orphaned children due to Covid-19 and other causes in the district to develop solutions and provide support and assistance. Currently, there are 186 orphaned children in Tan Phuoc district.

To date, the Women's Union at the district and local levels has sponsored and mobilized organizations, individuals, and philanthropists to sponsor 41 orphaned children; bringing the total number of orphaned children being cared for and supported in the district to 95.

SUPPORTING MEMBERS AND WOMEN IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings on the spirit of "mutual support and compassion," women in Tan Phuoc district have also promoted activities to help each other develop the economy, reduce poverty sustainably, and actively participate in social, humanitarian, and charitable activities; at the same time, they are pioneers in implementing local patriotic emulation campaigns and movements.

The Tan Phuoc District Women's Union is implementing the "Godmother" program to provide care and support for orphaned children due to Covid-19 and other causes.

In the economic field, many women have demonstrated independence and creativity, effectively participating in the implementation of economic projects and programs at the provincial and district levels. Women have boldly applied science, technology, and advanced techniques to production, livestock farming, and crop cultivation, creating high-value economic products.

In the context of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, the Women's Union branches at all levels in Tan Phuoc district have proactively registered to participate in hundreds of projects and tasks such as building bridges, rural roads, "green - clean - beautiful" roads, street lighting projects, and building and donating "Houses of Love"... with a total value of billions of VND.

Implementing Project 939 "Supporting women in starting businesses" for the period 2018-2025, the Women's Union at all levels in Tan Phuoc district has organized propaganda, provided loan support, and supported livelihood models for women engaged in small-scale business and trade, expanding livestock and crop farming models, and developing family economies. During the first half of the term, the Women's Union branches at all levels in Tan Phuoc district have assisted 1,992 poor female members and 704 poor female heads of households. 273 out of 100 women's households have escaped poverty (exceeding the resolution target by 173%), and 494 out of 150 near-poor women's households have escaped poverty (exceeding the resolution target by 229%), contributing to reducing the district's poverty rate from 2.74% (in 2021) to 1.59% (at the end of 2023).

Of these, 442 poor and near-poor women's households escaped poverty according to multidimensional criteria, contributing to the implementation of the Resolution of the Tien Giang Provincial Women's Congress. The District Women's Union supported capacity building for 72 out of 10 women who are business owners, cooperative managers, and household business owners (exceeding the resolution's target by 620%).

The concrete and practical actions taken by cadres and members of the Women's Union at all levels in Tan Phuoc district, stemming from studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, have created a strong ripple effect, making a significant contribution to poverty reduction, social welfare, and socio-economic development of the district; at the same time, increasingly affirming the position and role of women in the new era.
