Comrade Nguyen Ba Chien stated: "The unique characteristic of the commune is that it has many ethnic groups living together, and the militia force also includes children of ethnic minorities, so teaching this content well is very important. Participating in the competition, my biggest gain was comprehensively consolidating my knowledge of military affairs , national defense, and pedagogical methods to deliver political lessons that are relevant to the militia members."

According to Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Hieu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ward 6, Political Commissar of the Ward 6 Military Command, Da Lat City, her impression of the competition was the innovative approach to the knowledge test, which involved writing essays relating to practical models currently being implemented in the local armed forces. In particular, contestants learned new knowledge, honed their skills, and developed pedagogical methods to deliver better lectures, avoiding confusion between political lecturing and public speaking. Furthermore, political education officers must constantly cultivate their character and enrich their knowledge to proactively improve their pedagogical methods.

Contestants perform the practical part of the political lecture presentation at the competition.

Witnessing the competition's organization, we observed that most contestants possessed excellent skills and methods in preparing presentation lectures, mastering the classroom, and combining various approaches from problem-solving, analysis, and practical application to interaction and engagement, all aimed at conveying content in a relatable and inspiring way for learners. According to the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command, a highlight of the competition was the rich and comprehensive range of political lecture topics covered in many areas, addressing both "construction" and "combat" in leadership, guidance, and organization of local military and national defense activities.

With a wide range of topics, the contestants flexibly applied various methods, creating diversity in pedagogical skills and providing valuable, mutually supportive experiences. This serves as a foundation for each contestant to absorb, accumulate, and gradually improve their pedagogical skills, contributing to the enhancement of the quality of political education in the armed forces of Lam Dong province.

Winning first prize in the competition, Captain Nguyen Tuan Huy, Assistant Propaganda Officer, Political Department of the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command, humbly shared: “I chose the theme 'The Army's role in building a 'people's defense posture' in the new situation, and through the competition, I have learned and gained much experience. I realize that I need to add many issues to perfect my lecture and apply it to practical political education in my unit in the future.”

According to Colonel Tran Van Khuong, Political Commissar of the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command, training and improving the capacity, qualifications, and pedagogical methods of the staff directly involved in political education at the units is the basis for enhancing the quality and effectiveness of political education work. This competition realistically assesses the level and capacity of the staff working in political education. Therefore, Party committees and commanders at all levels should regularly pay attention to and improve the quality of the political education staff in each agency and unit, meeting the requirements of political education in the new situation.
