The Chi Thanh - Van Phong section of the expressway is now open to traffic.

From 11 PM on April 30, 2026, the 24km section of the Chi Thanh - Van Phong expressway project will officially open to traffic.

In the initial phase of operation, the Chi Thanh - Van Phong section of the route is not currently collecting road usage fees.

Bringing the project into operation is an important step in the roadmap to complete the North-South East Expressway axis in the 2021-2025 period, contributing to strengthening traffic capacity and regional connectivity, especially during the peak holiday period of April 30th - May 1st.

In parallel with organizing traffic on the main route, contractors will continue to urgently complete the remaining items of the entire Chi Thanh - Van Phong project, including the construction of the left-hand traffic tunnel, the installation of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), electronic toll collection (ETC), and vehicle weight inspection stations… At the same time, the investor also requested the units to focus on resolving the landslide situation at Km11 hill and accelerate the progress of the remaining section from Km1301 to Km1325+000, as well as carrying out the project's warranty work.
