The Vietnam Expressway Investment and Development Corporation has drawn up a traffic management plan for the temporary operation of the first 3km and the last 6km of the Ben Luc – Long Thanh expressway.
The Vietnam Expressway Investment and Development Corporation (VEC) has just released information on the traffic organization plan for the temporary operation phase of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway section from Km 0+000 to Km 3+420 (the section from Trung Luong interchange to the QL1A interchange) and the section from Km 50+530 to Km 57+581 (the section from Phuoc An interchange to the QL51 interchange).
A section of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway has been completed.
Accordingly, vehicles that meet all road traffic requirements are permitted to travel on the expressway, except for the following: Trucks over 10 tons; Specialized vehicles with a design speed of less than 70 km/h; Motorcycles and two-wheeled motorbikes; Tractors, three-wheeled motorbikes, mopeds (including electric motorbikes) and similar vehicles; Self-propelled construction vehicles, tracked vehicles (except vehicles used for maintenance, inspection, and repair of the expressway, and construction vehicles); Non-motorized vehicles, pedestrians; Animals.
For the section from Km 0+000 to Km 3+420, the operating speed on the main route is 60 km/h.
Within the intersection area, the speed limit for the roundabout is 40 km/h; the speed limit on the access roads and other branches is 50 km/h.
This section of the route has two interchanges. At interchange number 1 (at Km 0+700) - the intersection between the project and the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway, vehicles traveling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway (two-way) turn off at the exit ramps to merge into the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway via a specially designed traffic section (300m) (connecting section), passing through the toll station to enter the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway and then onto National Highway 1A.
Vehicles on the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway (heading from National Highway 1A - Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway) travel through a specially designed traffic section (300m) to merge into the branches of the interchange leading to the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway, heading towards the Mekong Delta provinces or towards Ho Chi Minh City.
At intersection number 2 (at Km 3+420) - the intersection between the project and National Highway 1, vehicles traveling on National Highway 1A from Nguyen Van Linh Street towards Long An will turn right at the intersection onto the access road to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway, which leads to the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway.
Vehicles traveling on National Highway 1A from Long An towards the intersection should move along the roundabout, turn left to join the access ramp to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway, and then proceed to the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway.
Vehicles traveling on the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway (heading from the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway towards National Highway 1A) turn right off the expressway at the interchange exit, then turn left to join National Highway 1A towards Long An or enter the roundabout at the interchange to exit onto Nguyen Van Linh Street (Ho Chi Minh City) on National Highway 1A.
Vehicles traveling in both directions on National Highway 1A will move along the roundabout designated for the project.
For the section from Km 50+530 to Km 57+581, the maximum operating speed on the main route is 100km/h, and the minimum is 60km/h.
Within the intersection area, the speed limit for the roundabout is 40km/h; the speed limit on the access roads and other branches is 50km/h.
There are two interchanges on this section of the route. At interchange number 7 (Km 50+530) - the Phuoc An interchange (the intersection between the project and the road leading to Phuoc An Port), vehicles traveling on the road from Phuoc An Port to the interchange turn right onto the branch leading to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway and onto National Highway 51.
Vehicles traveling from Nhon Trach district towards the intersection should move along the roundabout, turn left to join the access ramp to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway and then onto National Highway 51.
Vehicles traveling on the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway (heading from National Highway 51 towards Phuoc An) should turn right off the expressway at the exit ramp of the interchange, then turn left to enter the roundabout to go to Phuoc An Port or turn right to go to Nhon Trach District (on Truong Chinh road).
Vehicles traveling in both directions on the road from Phuoc An Port to Nhon Trach District pass through the roundabout at the Phuoc An intersection.
At intersection number 8 (Km 57+581) - the intersection between the Project and National Highway 51 leading to Vung Tau, vehicles traveling on National Highway 51 (heading from Bien Hoa to Vung Tau) can turn right onto the access road to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway to go to Phuoc An Port, Nhon Trach District ( Dong Nai ) or to Ho Chi Minh City.
Vehicles traveling on National Highway 51 (heading from Vung Tau to Bien Hoa) should reach intersection number 8, follow the roundabout, and turn left onto the access road to merge into the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, heading towards Phuoc An Port, Nhon Trach District (Dong Nai) or towards Ho Chi Minh City.
Vehicles traveling on the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway (heading from Phuoc An to National Highway 51) should turn right off the expressway on the access road and then turn right again to merge onto National Highway 51 towards Vung Tau, or turn left to merge into the roundabout towards Bien Hoa (on National Highway 51).
Vehicles traveling in both directions on National Highway 51 (Bien Hoa - Vung Tau) pass through the roundabout at the National Highway 51 intersection.
Previously, the Vietnam Road Administration had approved the traffic management plan for the temporary operation phase of two sections of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway construction project.
The temporary traffic management area includes the initial section from Km0+000 to Km3+420, including the interchange at the beginning of the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway and the interchange of the project with National Highway 1 in Long An. This section is approximately 3.4 km long.
The final section of the route, from Km 50+530 to Km 57+581, includes the project's intersections with BOT Road 319 and the intersection at the project's end point with National Highway 51 in Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province. This section is approximately 6.1 km long.
According to the Department of Roads, the temporary traffic management plan aims to connect road routes in the area, adjust and reduce traffic volume on existing roads in the area, contributing to ensuring road traffic order and safety in the area during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025 and ensuring traffic flow during the Spring Festival 2025.
