Orphaned at a young age, living with his elderly maternal grandparents, and from a poor family, Le Minh Hoang, a 5th-grade student in class 5C at Pham Phu Thu Primary School (Nong Son commune), received a gift worth 5 million VND from the "Monday with the Youth Union" program, which helps him have better conditions to attend school.
According to Mr. Tran Vu Ngoc, Secretary of the Youth Union of Nong Son commune, the "Monday with the Youth Union" program aims to improve the skills and professional competence of the Youth Union leaders. Simultaneously, through practical field trips, it provides guidance, advice, and inspection on various aspects of the Youth Union's regulations and rituals, its activities, school culture and conduct, the educational environment, and classroom discipline. In particular, the program aims to encourage and support underprivileged students so they can continue their education.
At Nguyen Van Troi Primary and Secondary School (Que Phuoc commune), the Youth Union, in coordination with the school's student council, organized the "Monday with the Student Council" program and presented numerous gifts from organizations and benefactors to diligent, academically excellent students from disadvantaged families. Although the gifts were not of great monetary value, they contributed to encouraging and motivating the students to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies.
On this occasion, HIVOOC Co., Ltd. (Son Tra Ward, Da Nang City) conducted a wildlife conservation and elephant habitat awareness campaign for students in the buffer zone of the nature reserve. Under the guidance of HIVOOC Co., Ltd., the students embarked on a journey to discover the story of "The Journey of Baby Elephant Nong Son".
Mr. Phan Van Trung, Principal of Nguyen Van Troi Primary and Secondary School, commented that the "Monday with the Young Pioneers" program is a novel activity suitable to the school's conditions and circumstances. Through this program, young pioneers and children are equipped with life skills. It also helps them become more confident and assertive in front of crowds, as well as enhancing their self-reliance, self-management, and ability to handle situations appropriately in life. This is also one of the important criteria towards building a happy school.

Not only in the lowlands, but also in schools in mountainous areas, the flag-raising ceremony is being revamped with many diverse forms to help students feel that "every day at school is a joyful day."
At Nguyen Van Troi Ethnic Boarding Junior High School (Tay Giang commune), every Monday morning, after the flag-raising ceremony according to the school's regulations and the assignment of tasks for the week, each grade level participates in experiential activities based on monthly themes such as: Telling stories about President Ho Chi Minh; I am a young sprout of the Party; Protecting the environment. This is an opportunity to hone life skills for students, while also providing them with a beneficial playground and developing their individual talents.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trieu, Principal of Nguyen Van Troi Ethnic Boarding Junior High School, in parallel with teaching, during flag-raising ceremonies, the school organizes experiential and creative activities with various themes suitable to the psychological and physiological characteristics of students, aiming to create a healthy playground and strengthen friendships.
"The flag-raising ceremony is no longer just a critique session, but also incorporates life skills lessons, history, and ethics. From there, we build a friendly school environment, foster active student participation, nurture character, preserve cultural identity, and contribute to improving the quality of education in the new era," Mr. Trieu shared.
