Recall of 12 types of fake milk

The Ministry of Health requires localities to inspect and recall all 12 types of nutritional foods (powdered milk) that are counterfeit and still on the market.

On April 23, the Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) requested the above after the Investigation Police Agency ( Ministry of Public Security ) identified 12 types of food and nutrition (in the form of powdered milk) as counterfeit goods.

Accordingly, the initial investigation results determined that the fake milk line of Rance Pharma Company and Hacofood Group produced 84 types of powdered milk and more than 26,000 cans of milk. Currently, the police have identified 12 types of powdered milk with quality indicators of some main substances reaching less than 70% compared to the announcement, also known as fake goods. The remaining 72 products are being clarified.

Therefore, the Food Safety Department requests the Department of Health of provinces and cities, the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City, the Food Safety Management Board of Da Nang City and the Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Departments of provinces and cities to review, inspect and coordinate with local competent authorities to recall all 12 types above. At the same time, coordinate with the police investigation agency to handle and resolve according to regulations.

People are advised not to use the 72 dairy products under investigation from the above companies until the police have a final conclusion.
