Budget revenue reached nearly 1.4 million billion VND

All domestic revenue sources, crude oil and import-export decreased, causing the total budget revenue in the first 10 months to reach only nearly 1.4 million billion VND, 9% lower than the same period last year.

The Ministry of Finance said that compared to the annual plan, the budget collection for the first 10 months still achieved progress of over 86%.

Of which, domestic revenue is estimated at nearly 1.2 million billion VND, down nearly 6% over the same period and reaching nearly 87% of the estimate. Accounting for more than half of domestic revenue is direct revenue from 3 production and business areas, also down nearly 3% over the same period in 2022.

In addition, the total import and export turnover of goods as of October 15 decreased by nearly 11%, causing the import and export turnover of taxable goods to decrease by 17% over the same period.

Regarding revenue from crude oil, the Ministry of Finance estimated that revenue in the first 10 months was about VND51,400 billion, exceeding the annual estimate by 20% and decreasing by nearly 20% compared to the same period last year.

Regarding local revenue, it is estimated that 24 localities have achieved domestic revenue of over 86% of the estimate in the first 10 months; 7 localities have revenue growth compared to the same period, while up to 56 localities have lower revenue than the same period in 2022.

Total accumulated balanced expenditure for the first 10 months reached about VND 1,357 trillion, equal to 65% of the estimate and up 11% over the same period in 2022. Of which, development investment expenditure is estimated at about VND 401,900 billion, equal to 55% of the estimate decided by the National Assembly and up 35% over the same period. Debt interest payment increased by 3% over the same period, regular expenditure increased by nearly 4% over the same period.
