Prime Minister: Organizing the Exhibition "Journey of 80 years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness"

On the morning of June 23, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Government Standing Committee with ministries, sectors, and central agencies on preparations for organizing the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Attending the meeting were: Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh - Head of the Steering Committee for the Exhibition of Socio -Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung - Head of the Organizing Committee for the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, along with Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies; leaders of departments, ministries, branches and central agencies.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Government Standing Committee with ministries, sectors and central agencies on preparations for the organization of the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

Up to now, the Government has established a Steering Committee, issued a Master Plan for activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, which summarizes the tasks of organizing the Exhibition of socio-economic achievements; established the Organizing Committee; issued the Exhibition Organization Plan. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the Standing Body of the Steering Committee has met with 63 provinces and centrally run cities to agree on how to implement the Exhibition with central ministries, branches and departments.

Expected to take place from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the National Exhibition Center, Co Loa, Dong Anh, Hanoi, the Exhibition will display and introduce socio-economic achievements in 80 years of building, protecting and developing the country; along with that, there will be supporting activities such as: Fairs, food stalls, tourism, handicrafts; art programs; bilateral contact activities, conferences, seminars...

Currently, relevant ministries, branches, agencies and units are planning, arranging and organizing exhibition spaces; service spaces for people to visit the Exhibition and have fun, entertainment and experience; ensuring security, order and food safety; scenarios for cultural and artistic activities, exchanges, fairs, cuisine, etc.

After the leaders of the ministries and branches gave their opinions and concluded the conference, the Prime Minister said that the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day is a large-scale activity, rich in content; a big, difficult, unprecedented task, with a short preparation time and high requirements... All ministries, branches and localities must participate with the highest spirit and responsibility so that the Exhibition is organized to ensure inclusiveness, comprehensiveness, objectivity, honesty, feasibility and effectiveness.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the exhibition must depict the process of protecting and building the country over 80 years.

Regarding the goal, the Prime Minister said that the Exhibition must depict the process of protecting and building the country over 80 years; arouse pride in the glorious historical tradition, create motivation and inspiration for the nation and the country to prepare to enter a new era, an era of striving to develop richly, civilizedly and prosperously; people can truly enjoy the results and pride, and at the same time introduce to international friends the country's 80-year achievements. The Prime Minister noted that the target audience includes both adults and teenagers.

  Minister Nguyen Van Hung chaired the meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need to mobilize the combined strength of the whole country, people and businesses to organize the exhibition; combine the display and exhibition of achievements of the country and the nation with other cultural, artistic, entertainment and recreational activities; combine tradition and modernity, national cultural identity and technological achievements of mankind, ensuring scientific nature; mobilize maximum documents, materials, artifacts and characters; promote maximum self-reliance, self-reliance, initiative and creativity of related subjects.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assigned Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh to continue to directly direct, the Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism is the Standing agency of the Steering Committee to assign tasks to prepare for the organization of the Exhibition "clearly defining people, clear tasks, clear time, clear results, clear authority, clear responsibility"; have specific, special, and exceptional mechanisms so that the preparation and organization of the Exhibition must have high determination, great efforts, drastic actions, "turning nothing into something, turning difficult into easy, turning impossible into possible", ensuring the requirements and goals set out.
