According to PV's research, the project of green park and sidewalk in Vinh Moc planning area will be implemented in 2022 with a total investment of nearly 5 billion VND, invested by the People's Committee of Thuy Duong ward.
The work has been implemented with complete construction items on pavements, planned roads with terrazzo bricks, sidewalks, tree planting boxes to build split stone and planting trees on some routes… In addition, the park leveling has an area. more than 2.700 m2, planting trees and arranging sports equipment. The project aims to gradually improve the technical infrastructure system and create urban beauty.
In particular, the item of planting trees was constructed by Tien Dat Company Limited (Hue City), with a total cost of more than 500 million VND.
Through PV's recent records, many trees in this project show signs of dying. Specifically, at Bui Xuan Phai and 120 Duong Thieu Tuoc streets, many newly planted trees have dried bark, branches and died. Some other roads are dotted with dead trees. Many trees withered leaves. Many planting plots are still empty, weeds cover the plots.
Some people living around said that in order for the tree to grow quickly and have shade, they watered the tree more on hot days.
“They (construction unit – PV) planted last year, probably more than half a year. It is not clear why the tree died while the trees planted by people were green. If you let the tree die forever, it won't work. In addition, I require to plant enough trees in the number of empty boxes…”, Mr. V. – living in Vinh Moc planning area is pressing.
According to observations, the work is still under construction, in which the park item has not been deployed because of ground clearance problems.
Working with PV, Mr. Nguyen Huu Dinh, Director of Tien Dat Company, admitted that many trees died when newly planted on roads in the Vinh Moc planning area as reflected.
Mr. Dinh said that according to the contract, the receiving unit planted 100 flower slices in this planning area, but only planted about 40 trees because the project is still underway, so there is no space for planting. When planting, keep the potting soil for the plant and take care and water it fully. However, due to the new soil in the planting area, the continuous hot weather leads to the tree dying, on the other hand, this flower slice is very easy to die.
“There are more than 15 dead trees. I have my brothers check, uproot the dead trees to plant instead, regularly observe and take care of the trees, thereby continuing to implement and complete the project, "said Mr. Nguyen Huu Dinh.
Mr. Ngo Huu Thuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuy Duong Ward, said that the project of Greenery Park and sidewalks in Vinh Moc planning area has been implemented about 80% of the volume, of which most of the items have been completed, only and park items due to not being able to acquire land, inventory and compensate...so it has not been possible to clear the ground for implementation.
“As for trees, we will check, count the number and find the cause of the tree death. The project has not been accepted and handed over, so it is still the responsibility of the construction unit. The ward will ask the construction unit to uproot the old dead tree and replant the new tree. After payment acceptance, there will be a project warranty plan. If the situation of dead trees continues to appear, compensation will be required by planting new trees, "said Mr. Thuan.
