Accelerating the implementation of social housing funds

In 2025, the province will deploy 5 new social housing projects. According to information from the Provincial People's Committee, the province has approved the Social Housing Development Project until 2025, with a vision to 2030, with the goal of completing 83,100 units in the entire period.

According to the roadmap, by 2026, the province aims to complete 13,315 social housing units and simultaneously implement 21 new projects with a total scale of 19,778 units. By 2030, the province strives to complete 15,021 social housing units and simultaneously implement 15 new projects with a total scale of 35,270 units, contributing to ensuring social security and expanding the housing fund to serve people in the province.

To date, the province has planned 79 land plots, with a total area of ​​over 598 hectares, for social housing development. Of these, 32 projects have been approved for investment with over 47,100 units expected to be completed in the 2025-2030 period; 11 projects have been completed with 4,358 units; many other projects continue to be implemented.

The Golden City Social Housing Project in Tan Ninh Ward has a scale of 3.35 hectares, including 7 apartment blocks of 15 floors (1 basement) and a modern commercial center. The project is planned synchronously according to the standards of the Ministry of Construction , aiming to form a model of social housing right in the center of Tan Ninh Ward.

The highlight of the project is the flexible financial support policy: buyers only need to pay 30% of the apartment value, the rest can be borrowed from the Social Policy Bank with an interest rate of 5.4%/year. The investor continues to support a 50% interest reduction in the first 2 years, helping the installment payment to be only 3-5 million VND/month.

Mr. Tran Van Tinh (residing in Tan Hoi commune) bought a house in this project and shared: "The loan interest rate is much lower than commercial loans. You only need to pay 30% in advance, the rest is supported by a long-term loan of up to 25 years from the bank, so my family boldly bought it to have a stable place to live."

Speed ​​up progress and complete the goal of 1 million social housing units

At the online conference of the 3rd meeting of the Central Steering Committee on housing policy and real estate market development held in November 2025, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh made a number of recommendations to create conditions for the province to effectively implement social housing projects and better support people in need of housing.

First of all, regarding the Government 's Decision on implementing breakthrough solutions for social housing development in the 2025-2030 period, in which the province is assigned an additional target of completing 2,000 units in 2026, the province completely agrees and believes that this is an opportunity to speed up the progress of completing the common goal.

However, to ensure compliance with actual capacity, the province proposed the Prime Minister to allow the remaining targets to be extended, expected to be opened for sale and handed over to people in the first quarter to the beginning of the second quarter of 2027 at the latest. This adjustment will help the province be more proactive in implementation, while ensuring project quality and investment efficiency.

In the coming time, the province will continue to focus on removing bottlenecks related to investment procedures, land, capital disbursement and technical infrastructure to create favorable conditions for businesses to implement projects.

The province also requires investors to speed up construction progress, ensure project quality, and strengthen inspection and supervision to promptly resolve arising difficulties. In addition, preferential credit policies continue to help people, especially workers and low-income earners, access housing at reasonable costs.

With the support of the Government, ministries, branches and the determination of the local political system, the province aims to actively contribute to the program of building 1 million social housing units nationwide. The increasingly expanding social housing fund not only helps improve the lives of workers but also creates an important driving force for sustainable urban development, attracting investment and promoting socio-economic growth in the coming period./.
