Promoting relations between Hanoi and other cities.

On the morning of August 27th, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai chaired a meeting with the delegation from the Party Inspection Committee - Government Inspectorate of Vientiane Capital (Lao People's Democratic Republic), led by Virasack Nammountry, Standing Committee member of the Hanoi Party Committee and Head of the Party Inspection Committee - Government Inspectorate of Vientiane Capital, who paid a courtesy visit during their trip to Hanoi.

Attending the reception were members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee: Chairman of the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee Hoang Trong Quyet, Head of the City Party Committee's Organization Department Vu Duc Bao; and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ha Minh Hai.

Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai received the delegation from the Party Inspection Committee - Government Inspectorate of Vientiane Capital (Lao People's Democratic Republic), led by Virasack Nammountry, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee and Head of the Party Inspection Committee - Government Inspectorate of Vientiane Capital.

Speaking at the reception, Virasack Nammountry, Head of the Party Inspection Committee - Government Inspectorate of Vientiane Capital, expressed his condolences and shared his sympathy on the passing of Comrade General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong. He also thanked the Hanoi City Party Committee for the warm welcome during this visit.

Comrade Virasack Nammountry emphasized the expectation that the cooperative relationship between the two City Party Committee inspection agencies will become a highlight in the cooperation between Vientiane and Hanoi and continuously make a positive contribution to the relationship between the two countries.

Stating that the capital city of Vientiane is striving to successfully host the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related summits, scheduled to take place from October 8-11, 2024, Mr. Virasack Nammountry emphasized that 2024 is also the National Tourism Year of Laos, with many major activities and events. Therefore, Vientiane is determined to successfully organize these major events, leaving a positive impression on international friends.

Comrade Virasack Nammountry wished that Hanoi, under the leadership of the Party Secretary, would continue to develop strongly, becoming prosperous, beautiful, civilized, and modern.

Thanking Comrade Virasack Nammountry, Head of the Party Inspection Committee - Government Inspectorate of Vientiane Capital, for his sharing, Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai reaffirmed the importance of the long-standing, close, and fraternal neighborly relationship between Vietnam and Laos. In particular, the Party Secretary recalled General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's words: "The solidarity, cooperation, and mutual assistance between Vietnam and Laos is an objective law, a vital factor for each Party and each country. It is also an invaluable common asset and a foundation for the two countries to develop together in the next historical stages." She also expressed her joy at the changes, growth, and great achievements of the two countries, including the strong development of Hanoi and Vientiane, with their friendship deepening. According to Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai, in recent times, Hanoi and Vientiane have had many meaningful cooperation and exchange activities, especially in cooperation between specialized agencies of the two sides. Emphasizing that Party inspection is always a leadership function of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Hanoi Party Secretary also affirmed that discipline and order are vital principles and that there are "no forbidden zones," stressing that this principle is ensured within the Hanoi Party Committee.

Highly appreciating the desire of the Vientiane Capital Party Inspection Committee's Inspection Commission to learn from their experience in Party inspection work, Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai suggested that the Hanoi City Party Committee's Inspection Commission actively share experiences in depth during working sessions, especially regarding the training of inspection cadres at all levels. She also urged them to learn from their experiences, thereby continuously building clean and strong Party organizations on both sides.

The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee affirmed that, in the spirit of being both comrades and brothers, Hanoi will create the most favorable conditions for specialized agencies of the two capitals to strengthen cooperation, thereby promoting Hanoi-Vientiane relations and contributing to nurturing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, ensuring its continued sustainable development and increasing depth.
