In Directive No. 02-CT/TU on organizing the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026, the Provincial Party Standing Committee requested that Party committees, government agencies, the Fatherland Front, and political and social organizations in the province focus on leading, directing, and effectively implementing key tasks, including tightening administrative discipline and order; strictly adhering to regulations on revolutionary ethical standards, things that Party members are not allowed to do, and the responsibility of setting an example in practicing a civilized lifestyle, especially regulations on not driving vehicles after consuming alcohol; not participating in or promoting superstitious activities and social evils; not using state budget, vehicles, or public assets illegally for festival and entertainment activities; and not using working time for spring excursions, festivals, temples, and pagodas...
In addition, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requests the Provincial People's Committee to direct the strengthening of inspection, supervision, and strict management of the market, ensuring a balance between supply and demand of goods, stabilizing prices, ensuring food safety, environmental hygiene, and disease prevention and control; ensuring traffic order and safety, preventing fires and explosions; and strictly implementing legal regulations on the management and use of fireworks, preventing violations during the Tet holiday.
The implementation of this directive will serve as a measure of compliance awareness and the level of task completion. Relevant agencies must proactively implement market stabilization measures in accordance with the law. The situation of unsafe food entering supermarkets and shopping malls must be prevented. Inspections must be intensified, and proactive measures must be taken to detect, prevent, and promptly address acts of producing and storing unsafe goods before they reach the market.
Regarding drunk driving violations, authorities have long done a good job controlling alcohol levels among drivers, and this needs to be even better during the Lunar New Year and spring festivals. The Ministry of Interior should strengthen the management of officials and supervise the implementation of administrative discipline, preventing a recurrence of the situation where officials neglect their duties to go on spring outings, as has happened in previous years.
Based on the directives of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, relevant departments and agencies should proactively develop their own plans. They should not view the issuance of directives from higher levels as a routine task and develop their own plans merely out of obligation. Above all, this is a measure of public service, a test of response capabilities, especially for the heads of agencies and units.
