Permanent member of the Party Central Committee Tran Cam Tu pays respects to Comrade Khamtay Siphandone

On the morning of April 4th, Politburo member and Standing Committee Secretary Tran Cam Tu visited the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Hanoi to pay respects to Comrade Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Also on the morning of April 4th, many delegations from ministries, departments, and organizations visited Comrade Khamtay Siphandone, signed the condolence book, and offered condolences to the Party, State, and people of Laos.

* On the morning of April 4th, at the headquarters of the Consulate of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Ho Chi Minh City, a delegation from the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, led by the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Nguyen Thanh Nghi, paid their respects and signed the condolence book for General Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, who passed away on April 2nd at the age of 102.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi signed the condolence book, expressing profound sorrow at the passing of Comrade Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic . The leaders and people of Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh City, have lost a close comrade, a loyal and steadfast friend who made immense contributions to nurturing and strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi affirmed that the Party Committee, Government, and people of Ho Chi Minh City will forever remember the special and heartfelt feelings that Comrade Khamtay Siphandone has shown towards the city and are determined to wholeheartedly strengthen and further cultivate the special, loyal, and fraternal relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and the localities of Laos, ensuring it remains ever-lasting and enduring.

On behalf of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and the people of Ho Chi Minh City, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Nguyen Thanh Nghi, sincerely extends his deepest condolences to the Party, State, and people of Laos, as well as to the family of Comrade Khamtay Siphandone; and hopes that the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the fraternal Lao people, and the family of Comrade Khamtay Siphandone will soon overcome this great grief and loss and continue the work of building, protecting, and developing the country.
